Anyone wanting hankering to own an economical Purdey , I have a single shot in the Classified. Purdey only made a total of 81 so it is a collector.

I originally had Palmer post pictures of the gun for me on classified as I don;t how to post pictures., I had it it on classified for a week or so, got no offers or really any interest so I sold it and a Capegun to Kirby Hoyt the owner of VINTAGE DOUBLES in Winatche Wa., I folloed up by posting on classified that it "was sold"., I don't understand all the apparent mystery and I still don't understand why someone is "warning" people as I don't think I did anything to warrant such suspicion. I had Allen post several pics and it was honestly described., If anyone is still interested they can buy it fron Kirby just go top his web site vintagedoubles.,com. 505 G sorry I am not very computer competent and don't have a clue about how to do a "direct link" but I don't think it calls for crude language.

Phill

Just cut and paste (surely you know how to do that) the Web address at the top of the page.

So, if I wanted to post a direct link to this thread, i WOULD CUT AND PASTE THIS

http://forums.accuratereloadin...041063191#9041063191

And to hot link it, I would paste it in that thing above where I type called URL - Click on it and see what I mean.

Give it a go, you can't damage anything.

Thanks for the attempt to help but I don't have word processing and I think that's where cut and paste is. Some one said something about photo bucket but I wouldn't know one if I stepped in one.
I am a healthy 70 yrs old and a bit of a curmudgeon, bordering on Luddite.I can send pics via email but that's about it. Anyway ,after I got no interest or offers I posted it as sold and I can't figure why all the kerfuffle now. I am really curious as to why London Hunter told Leopardtrack ,"to be very careful".

Rusty,
Look under "boxlocks" It is item # 2269,. price is $ 3,900. Like I said in my classified, according to Donald Dallas in his definitive book on Purdey, They only made 81 single shots excluding trap guns. Even though it is an E grade single shot your not going to find many more or certainly cheaper ones., I had Doug Turnbull color case it and he is very good at matching vintage colors. Martin Hagn and Ralf Martini thought it was really neat, called it "the stick" because it was so pettte and light.
