Looking for recommendations on 2nd-3rd Gen NV scope on 300 Rum bolt gun for twilite/late night hog hunting. Any related comments wiclomed.

this is really the wrong caliber, under normal assumptions, to put NV gear one.

1: range -- genII/II+ you will be lucky to get 150 yards of REAL use
2: recoil/eye relief... you are going to put your eye HIGHER and closer to any scope you've ever shot a RUM with ..
3: recovery -- takes time to get ready for next shot, especially with blood flowing from the eye brow, at night, and packing kwikclot or superglue into that eye while reloading and changing over to other shoulder

308 bolt gun, or semi, with a digisight 550 is perfect
