TrophyShotPrintsLegality of NV optics in my state?
What state, county, city department should I check with on the legality of owning night vision optics?
Or is there a national website or something where I can check to see if my state is on the OK list?

GeorgeSAs NV optics are sold in Hawaii, I don't know why it would be illegal to own them. Contact the State Attorney General.
If you are thinking of hunting with NV, you may not hunt game birds or game mammals at night in Hawaii. Confirm this with your Dept. of Land & Natural Resources.

Thanks for your reply George!
It would be used for game-viewing at night...
not for hunting purposes...should be okay, huh?

GeorgeSIt looks like it would be okay. Just make certain that no one has a firearm in the car so the DLNR rangers cannot jam you up.

jeffeossothey just made it legal to hunt game animals in texas with silincers -- i think you COULD hunt with NV, as long as the shot wasn't past legal dusk or before legal dawn...
i know that's splitting hairs --
i can hunts hogs with NV, as long as I have land owners permission
