I watched a video a few minutes ago, of some guys in Poland using a thermal monocular during the daylight stalking process. Had you guys ever heard of that before?

Yes, saw it used in the Ukraine, looking for roe deer in thickets. I believe it did help some.

Yes. On one of my Ibex in Spain it was used 1. "pre glass"/scan the mountains and then glass what lights up and 2. to follow the animals as they went behind bushes. I plan on getting one specifically for pre glassing. There are two types of people in the world: those that get things done and those who make excuses. There are no others.

We used a thermal monocular three weeks ago on helicopter hog-control flights in South Texas and it does two things really well; it sees any animal through the brush, mesquite and oaks. But you may not be able to confirm exactly what species until you flush them. The other thing it does really well is give you instant motion sickness.
