says has 2000mW illuminator, and reviews are good for CCD /digital night vision...
at 365 bucks, and 200+ yard review statements saying its "easily able to tell between coyote and hog" ...

and works in the 940nm range -- just like the digisight (that i am thinking about buying) ... seems like a HECK of a partnering... can use the 2000mw (that's two thousand) it should light up the night with a digisight...

of course, thats a 2w flashlight ... which means the 200mw laser would even be longer range.

mine arrived, either defective or crap .. compared to the digisight, which uses the same tech, it was like looking through MILK

going back tomorrow - didn't even try the 2000w light with the digiisight, as it was obviously defective.. and MAY have been a restock, as the box was obviously opened before me.. took pics

can't ask for better in handling a problem

replacement set works .. we'll see at night. i can see ~200+ yards (thats about as far as the street goes) in daylight.... not nikon clarity, but usable.. we'll see after dark

can also see, under street lights, about the same..

HOWEVER, as compared to my scope, these are not great resolution..

I'll compare monday night, head to head. seems like about 60% of the resolution (this is electronics) and a CHEAP front lens .. if they had spent 20 bucks more for decent glass in the front lens, there would be little/no dispersion ..

as it is, the display (on scope too) is square ... but on the ranger, its distorted around the edges.

just plain CHEAP corner cutting.

i am not super pleased, i am telling you -- and they are about 80% likely to go back..

i am returning it.
compared to the digisight (same parent company), its really, under a cloudy, 1/2 moon .. it has about 1/3 the workable range of the digisight -- i may buy the pulsar 550, if i can talk to the guys some more in comparison.

in short, it is FAR superior to gen 1 stuff .. but nothing as high resolution or distance than the digisight

besides, it really helps offset the cost of a new rifle to put under the scope!
