I have cut M 17x1 threaded for a silencer and used the threads to keep the front sight in place

That is a sweet and clean mount, but I would be concerned that there is insufficient shoulder for the silencer to abut against. Then also the iron sight has to be removed to allow the suppression.

I still love it though!

Interesting concept. I need to know more.

Such as the rest of the assembly. How long is the barrel?

Gonna take a mother of a can for a .458 AR!

What kinda loads you thinkin' about pushing through it. Somehow I can't quite imagine trying to suppress 500s at 2250 fps. The muzzle flash of H335 is quite something!

I like that sight set-up.

I think that if a 458 SOCOM can works, then the same can ought to work on a 458 with reduced or sub-sonic loads. I can't see the use for full power loads, suppressed, but I can sure imagine the fun that could be had shooting hogs with suppressed sub-sonic 458 loads.

I sometimes shoot a nice mild load (1100 fps) in my 458 WM using 405 gr Remington bullets and SR4759 powder.
