I'am considering a Digisight 550 for predator hunting in the U.P. of Michigan.

My concern is the operational temperature range of the unit, 14 to 95 F degrees. Would I need to use a insulated wrap with hand warmers to help keep the unit warm.

Thanks CW

i love my digisight -- call the guys at pulsar and ask them about cold weather -- which will also reduce battery life -- i understood that that nightvision was illegal for yupers and trolls

We can use any hand held type of light including lasers and night vision. We are limited to shotguns with shot smaller than "T" or a rimfire gun or bow.

Yoopers and Trolls HA HA HAA To hear that from a Texan, most of the Trolls don't even know they are one.

I've shot so many coyotes in my hunting territories over the last 6 years, day time calling and bait hunting just doesn't produce like it use to. I get a lot of trail camera picture at baits at night.

What type of illuminator do you use ?

All of my bait hunting is done from enclosed tower stands with windows. I keep the windows closed except to shoot to keep scent minimized, even have a 15' chimney to get scent higher. Would you get a reflection back off the glass from the illuminator ?
