Hi all I have 5 cartridges 4 are dated 1897 and the 5th one is 1896, headstamp DMK on a DM stripper clip, they are of course unfired .Are these things scarce or valuable???? TIA Pete It's mercy, compassion and forgiveness I lack; not rationality.

Pete I don't think the cartridges are especially rare or valuable. Are you sure they are 6.5 x 55 and not 6.5 x 57 or 7 x 57? Those cartridges all look alike and it sometimes takes careful measurements to tell them apart. DM and DMK stands for Deutsche Waffen Munitionsfabriken, Karlsruhe, Germany. Thanks Ray I thought these might be collectable because of their age, there definitly 6.5x55, I'll put them at the back of the ammo cupboard and someday a collector will get a gift. thanks Pete It's mercy, compassion and forgiveness I lack; not rationality.
