Pricing is insane.

I've got money sitting in the bank because I refuse to spend it on targeted updates/repairs due to the cost of materials and labor. I will sit on it until things calm down. If everyone did this things would do just that.

Indeed! On a personal note, my sheet metal prices have almost tripled, so the customer base can't afford the finished product, so I've been dead in the water for the last 4 months. Yeah Joe, you brought on change all right!

I am sorry about that. Damn shame our own government is deliberately creating hard times on people but they apparently have an agenda.

If we get into Argentine or Venezuelan levels of inflation, you will be able to fill a wheel barrow with your savings and not be able to buy a loaf of bread.

And that will about the time that you will understand paper money has only the value people think it has. Fait money (https://www.investopedia.com/terms/f/fiatmoney.asp) is just pretty pieces of paper without intrinsic value.

I had an old German as a neighbor. He was a merchant seaman during the Weimar Republic. He was eight months at sea, came back to Germany, they paid him off eight months wages on the ship, and off he went. He found that eight months old wages would not pay for a trolley ticket back to town!

Do not hold your breath thinking the adolescents in Congress or the fools in the Executive Branch understand what they are doing. They will destroy your life savings, reduce your pensions to nothing, and will immerserate the middle class.

It has happened before and will happen again.

Slamfire, yes, quite possibly the way things are going to go. My pantry is good for a really long time but I would like to make some updates around here. Patience will be a virtue for sure.

I know we are battling the 'one party forever' rule movement. Many civilizations have crumbled in the past due to politics. Hope we aren't there...

Ann, I am afraid that we are approaching that due to socialistic idiots. You know the definition of insanity? Doing the same mistake repeatedly, expecting different results every time. And you're right about that 1 party vote; the left has been inundating illegals + all on the "free everything" program that ,C'mon, how do you think they will vote? Those of us who are really paying the forced taxes to finance this treason are rightly pissed, but once again, what are you gonna do about it? I DO NOT advocate revolution or insurection for many reasons (not only China + Russia wanting a BIG piece of the pie) but a really competent government that was true in spirit to the American citizens. I mean, that REALLY IS WHAT THEY'RE THERE FOR!
