I got word today that CITES permits were just approved, but will not be issued until closer to the season opener in August I believe. I have mine and I'm ready to go!!!

I'm leaving Anchorage the 18th of October and spending a few days in Istanbul. Then I believe I'm in country 22nd-6th of November.
