That is excellent. My uncle has had his plans changed a few time, he will be a happy man.

Is there a source/article to read?

I spoke to Bob Kern of the Hunting Consortium (he is at the Dallas Convention). Give Amy a call tomorrow at their office 540-955-0090 and she can give you all the details of the official reopening for 2010.

The official reopening for 2010 will be tomorrow.
Now 37 hunters from the USA obtain licenses for hunting and export of trophies. This year will be only 60 licenses for hunters from every corner of the globe.

Best Regards
Igor

profyhunter,

VERY NICE ram!!!!

We were there in 2008, I posted the hunting report here in the Asian section along with photos. Unless you have been there, it is hard to tell someone how many sheep and ibex you see during the hunt.

Truly a unique hunt and experience. Good luck this season.

I will be in Tajikistan in December. It will be possible one more story in this theme with remarkable photos.
You know that the European hunters have no such complexities with trophy export as American. On this hunting there will be hunters from Europe.

U.S. hunters continue to wait and hope. The informatiom transmitted from Tajik to U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service was deemed not adequate and a request for additional info(Clarification?) was sent back to Tajik a couple of weeks ago with no word back. So at the moment U.S. Fish and Wildlife has not issued import permits and it is anyone's guess as to when this might happen. I was supposed to go in October and I now wonder if I'll get an opportunity at all this year!

Yes. My name is one of the 37 listed but it does me little good if I don't receive an import permit from U S Fish and Wildlife.

I really not understand why you receive no permission from U S Fish and Wildlife.I can introduce that Prodlem is a CITES.Tadgjikistan is a country which has not signed the convention CITES. In this case CITES should be provided in Moskou.

Sarg,

Here is the link, it was supposed to be a two year moratorium, but was closed only one year.
