Hunter: Ahmed Sultan
Animals Hunted: Ibex and Maral (on 2 Separate Trips)
Rifle: Blaser R8 in 300 Win Mag Topped with Swarovski Z8i
Animals Seen: Ibex, Maral, Argali, Wolf, Wildboar, Asiatic Bear, Rabbit, Fox, Roe Deer, Chukkar Partridge.
Date: October 2024 (Ibex), September 2025 (Maral)

The Ibex I finally decided to take was spotted at 900 Yards sitting in sun, we planned our stalk and reached 350 Yards of the unsuspecting Ibex.

Maral Hunt

September is the beginning of Maral rut season, although our calls were not answered much on the first couple of days but we did see stags mostly at distance. The guides would insist on shooting on all shootable males that we saw but I wanted to work for a better representative trophy for atleast first 5 of the 8 day hunt. On the forth day a Maral called on the opposite mountain and I identified it as a good trophy. The Shot was presented from one mountain to the other across the valley at 723 Yards, 2 backup shots latter the Maral rolled down.

Kazakhstan is a wonderful hunting destination with some quality hunting opportunities and very kind people. Will love to go back there again for a honest hunting adventure.

Fabulous Ibex you took. Congrats. I love hunting the Asian mountains although only hunted Turkiye but I have ambitions of Ibex hunting one day in one of the 'Stans. I'll be trying to find one as good as yours. May I ask which outfitter you booked with for your Ibex ?
That's a great Maral too. Love seeing reports and videos of hunts but unlikely to ever hunt one.

Congratulations Ahmed! As I said on FB those are a hell of a great set of trophies! Well done.

Kazakhstan is a beautiful country to hunt. Some of my best hunting adventures ever.

We offer hunts there for Maral, Ibex and siberian Roe deer. Unfortunately they no longer allow import of Ibex in to the States from there!

Fantastic! Wonderful trophies!

I've dreamt of an ibex/maral combo hunt more than once!
