I'm up in Canada freelancing geese for the week. Seeing plenty of Snows, Ross, Canada's and Specs.
Four of us killed 81 geese in 90 minutes this morning over decoys. More were coming in as we picked up spread.

Thanks David. It's really good right now. Four of us killed mixed bag of 92 Snows, Canada's and Specs this morning. Wish I could post a video of the birds coming in to the decoys.

By the time our conservation season opens, those geese are about as wary as whitetails...lol. I'm going to try and make it to NE late next month, they are working the Teal over but with all the ducks projected to come in, should be great hunting. Continued success, I know you don't miss many shots...if any Smiler

Bobby, are those greater snow's? I don't see any blue's in your birds. Should be lots if you were hunting lessers.

Specs will be in Gumbo tomorrow night.

One guy we hunted with immigrated to Canada ten years ago from Croatia. He had a Croatian family who was in need so the lady took all of our geese each day. It was funny because she called before light to see if we got any yet. Then she called every half hour for a numbers report. She was so excited to get the meat. She had a handshake like a ViseGrip!

I work right in around the st-lawrence and other rivers that are the pass way for the Canada geese migration. This year they stood around from October to January in numbers I never seen before.I got tired of their honking and they seemed more like pests. It is incredible how smart this bird is.

Not a fan of eating geese?

It's easy to screw up, but goose breast on the grill is excellent table fare

We did it on our own. Good scouting was key.
