I just got back from a fun tower shoot. 9 pheasants (my bag) at the 35ish mark. All I looked at died from my Upland/RFM 12 bore. I played around w Kent 33 Gram 6 Bismuth, 6s; Boss 38 Gram, 5 Bismuth, and the new pure copper pellet in a 3/5 shot size stacked load 42 gram load. Most of my birds fell to the second trigger. I was very impressed with the pure copper shot being 1 factor less dense than the bismuth. I could not tell any difference between the more dense 5s, and the pure copper 3/5 stacked load. Tin-Bismuth alloy density is 9.6 and the pure copper is 8.96 density. Further distances might make a difference. I be on a wild bird hunt the weekend of Nov 1. We will see if we get any far shots. I have stoned wild, crossing pheasant at an honest 60 yards w Tin-Bismuth alloy No. 5s. Pheasant Schnitzel, Smoked Pheasant stuffed w my homemade dressing A braised pheasant legs and thighs in bound. I’ve got the Tenn RKanas game on Birds cleaned And Weller Special Reserved poured | ||
