drjWhat is the responsibility of a booking agent?
Been to South America 4 times for bird shooting. Becoming an addict. Buddy and I booked a hunt at a lodge through a reputable booking agent. Flight from Miami to our destination got cancelled. Next flight we could get on was 3-4 days, so we had to come home. Outfitter is now telling us he will not refund our money (trip was prepaid-we only had to pay shell bill and tips before leaving) BUT will rebook us for next year-with a $2.00 increase in cost of each box of shells plus an additional $400+/- due to "expenses". Needless to say we are pissed. We have asked the booking agent to intervene-this was a new lodge for us-our previous four lodges have all told us since the cancellation was out of our control (we tried for 3 hours to get there somehow on another airline but no luck) they would have allowed us to rebook at the same cost. What's fair here?

L. David KeithSounds like they're not interested in keeping new clients. I'd be mad as hell too.

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......
