Got out for the opener today. It was good fun, as always, but the pickings were a bit slim. Had some GWT buzz the spread early, but wound up with a bag of black ducks, woodies, meaters (mallards) and a goose. It was fairly slow, but the birds were willing to cooperate, and it was fun to hang on the waders and get back at them again. Coastal opens Friday. Happy days are here again! dancing

Cheers,

KG

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

It's still a bit mild for the time of year, but temps tonight will be in the 40s (according to the weather guessers). A good nor'easter will change that soon enough, and then it'll be on. Wink I'll keep you in the loop.

Thornell, thanks for the kind words, and great hunt and write-up back at you!

KG
