| I got out for a bit here in Idaho and surpassed my usual 1 shot 1 bird season.
I took 7 shells with me this time and went back to the truck for another hand full about 1/2 hr before dark.
best season I ever had here. I actually seen and shot 10 birds. |

| We got out for the first time last night after spending a few days hunting oryx (daughter's youth hunt). We picked up a few, but it was pretty quiet. We'll check a different pond tonight.

| We ate those doves last night; followed a recipe published by AZ Game and Fish. Marinated the filleted breasts in Italian salad dressing, then skewered them with bacon on both sides. Grilled them with zucchini, bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms. Fantastic...I think I will head out tomorrow - should be a lot less people out there. |

| Had 2 great hunts in NW Nevada with our 5 month old Lab. I think she had more fun than I did. All good. |

| We hunted along the Parker Valley in the CRIT Indian Reservation. Good steady limit shooting for 3 mornings in a row. My flatcoated retriever and 410 double got a work out. This hunt has a long tradition in our group. The 116 degree heat was brutal. |

| Wow, I saw no other hunters this am but the action was painfully slow. Hunted two different water holes and then called it quits. Was 3/7, but started off 1/5. |
