Have fun and good luck. Post some pics if you do good. I'm anxiously awaiting October 17 out here so we can start flushing some quail coveys.....

VA short split opens the 8th and, hopefully, I'll be in a gut off the Potomac. I gotta do a bunch of schedule juggling. MD's short split is the following week.

To any interested, see the NH inland opener rather than me duplicating it here.

Nice! Those Woodie's are amazing birds. They nest in my back yard every year and it's cool watching them court the females.

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

Very cool! The only waterfowl I've ever had mounted was a wood duck drake.

Great Woodies. Wish we had huntable numbers. Only see them occasionally.
