Here is what I managed today. Got these with the 12 gauge. I( was way under the limit on Shiner's! Also, and I don't think I have posted this one anywhere, but this is from opening day of the second half of the season. The 10 gauge was doing okay that day. Even the rocks don't last forever.

Very respectable haul CHC. I need to shoot a prime gray duck specimen for the wall....just not that many around.

For a long time in our area the Grey Ducks are what have saved our season. Just my experience and observation, but in this area Gadwall's/Baldpates and Ringnecks are the primary species, with Green Wing Teal and Mallards fairly well represented. We do get a few Pintails/Canvasback/Redheads and Hooded Mergansers along with Shoveler's. I have killed one Wood Duck hen but they tend to be a little farther east and south of us. Not much timber around our lakes and ponds and the woodies don't seem to like the open country. Even the rocks don't last forever.

Really nice assortment of ducks... greenwings, greenheads, Gaddies and a couple of sprig. Well done!
