CrazyhorseconsultingCouple of days worth of birds.
Here is what I managed today. Got these with the 12 gauge. I( was way under the limit on Shiner's!
Also, and I don't think I have posted this one anywhere, but this is from opening day of the second half of the season. The 10 gauge was doing okay that day.

NortonVery respectable haul CHC. I need to shoot a prime gray duck specimen for the wall....just not that many around.

CrazyhorseconsultingFor a long time in our area the Grey Ducks are what have saved our season. Just my experience and observation, but in this area Gadwall's/Baldpates and Ringnecks are the primary species, with Green Wing Teal and Mallards fairly well represented. We do get a few Pintails/Canvasback/Redheads and Hooded Mergansers along with Shoveler's. I have killed one Wood Duck hen but they tend to be a little farther east and south of us. Not much timber around our lakes and ponds and the woodies don't seem to like the open country.
