I'm wondering if any of you quail hunters in AZ can give me an idea on what the quail hatch was like in your state this season. WA state had a poor hatch the last three years and I could easily find a way to go down there and hunt for a week if this year is a good one. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

The good news is that the quail numbers were very good this year. The bad news for you is that this late in the season there are very few quail left. Generally, by the end of the second week, the majority of the birds have been harvested. The only appreciable numbers left now are within city limits where we can't shoot.
