Tag and I went out today on the river. Beached the boat on a sand bar then loaded the dekes in the sled and walked to my spot. Got set up about 7:15 with 8 GHG full body mallards and 8 Herters Milleniums with Autumn Wings heads. At 7:30 the first drake circled once and fell to a 1 1/4oz load of #3's. Mallards came in for the next two hours in singles to groups of six. I shot my seventh drake at 9:30am. I really enjoyed a beautiful morning with a good brown dog at my side.
