We just returned home from a great hunt near Bonnyville, Alberta with Take-Em Outfitters. It is our third year in a row hunting with Clayton. There was plenty of snow with a little freezing rain thrown in for fun. We had three great days of duck and goose hunting.    You have to play in the snow when you are from Louisiana. | ||

We actually hunted in willow blinds covered in snow. I much prefer that method to the lay down blinds. I took a couple of photos when the weather was not too bad. It was difficult to shoot against the white sky, either the birds were dark or the sky was too light.    | |||

Some of my favorite duck hunting memories were in snowstorms. Glad you guys had a good time, and you are a much better man with a camera than I... I have never had a flying duck photo turn out. | |||

It is difficult to photograph birds on the move and even more difficult to do while hunting. Kamo Gari has posted some great pictures of ducks, I thought it was worth a try. It helped to have a very good 100-400 MM lens. One more decent one that was close to being very good.  | |||
