Because we saw so many the past few days I'm not really sure how many but it was in the tens of thousands..........

Check out the background in some of these for the clouds of seaducks I've had folks on lately. Hope you all enjoy the pictures

"Peace is that brief glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading" - Thomas Jefferson

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

"If you're being chased by a Lion, you don't have to be faster than the Lion, you just have to be faster than the person next to you."

L. David Keith. Around Thanksgiving a much larger number of the Eiders are colored up nice. So far we've only got a few that were for the most part clean.

Graybird, Thanks!

Were back out again today in fairly snotty weather but we made the best of it and got our birds

Limit is 7 seaducks per day, no more than four of any one species, and only one hen eider can be within the 7.

We get plenty of oldsquaw. Heading out again in the a.m. and if the wind turns the way I'm hoping and I can reach a special spot safely should have some pics. But the short answer is yes, we have oldsquaw in good numbers.
