A friend and I are just decided to find a productive goose hunt early this fall. All suggestions would be most appreciated. Would certainly enjoy offers by outfitters as well. We do not need a fancy lodge...a motel in town is fine. We are looking for early to mid fall or just slightly later...we freeze out earlier than we used to. Thanks to all for looking. We would also like a snow goose hunt sometime in the mid-spring but just the Canadian honkers this fall...unless snows can be hunted in the fall on conservation hunts. You could try Ohio. I hunt Sept 1-15 and take a limit of 5 birds almost every day for last three yrs. I hunt with Chris Skrant of FlyWayOutdoors http://www.flywayoutdoors.net/home/ I hunted with Chris from Sept- Janurary Perception is reality regardless the truth! For Canada's only, I can hook you up with a Guide in Indiana who hunts the Ohio river and other areas/States. He also hunts sea ducks out of DE. You stay in local motels (nice digs but he gets a discount for clients) or there are local cabins to host your own meals etc. He gets $175 per day, per hunter. As for Snow's, Blue's, Ross and Speckle belly geese, Arkansas is excellent. During the regular season, you can take those species plus Canada's (giants) on occasion plus all the ducks. $300 per day includes guide, meals and lodging. You are allowed 20 light geese per day but only 2 Speck's (should be 10 there are so many). I've done well there. Let me know if I can help you put any Waterfowling trips together.
