I got a doe with my 20 ga.flintlock smoothbore last year. The shot was about 45 yards with 60 gr of 3F and a patched .600 round ball. The dear went about 40 yards and droped. | |||

Carrying a smoothbore makes you concentrate on hunting heavy cover along contours and transition zones - not a bad idea at all. | |||
