I have not much experience with inline and sabots.
I would like to buy a new rifle, an inline from Ardesa/Traditions, Yukon model.
Have anyone shot it?
Also, I will use sabots with LBT like .432” 310gr bullets and black powder.
How do sabots works with true black powder?

Martin,
Although I don't shoot BP, I don't think you'll have any problems shooting a saboted bullet with it. Just be sure to stay in your load and pressure range. I also have never shot that rifle, but most new inlines will do fine.

What would you like to know specifically? I would definatly recommend cleaning in between shots and letting the rifle cool. So let me know what specific things you were wondering about and I'll help you out.

I have been shooting REALs and Maxi-Hunters in my rifles and RB in smoothbores. I have shot without cleaning without problems and good accuracy.
My concern is that sabots do not have lube to solften black powder residues.
Is there any ebook or good article to read in the Net?

I beg your pardon for not been clear enough.
I have two concerns:
1- hot gases from BP solftening plastic of the sabot and smearing plastic on the barrel surface.
2- Black powder residue not letting loading second or third shots.

Also, do you recomend the use of a special starter?

As far as the hot gases go, It is not a concern. The sabots are meant to handle the heat and pressure.
And yes, there will be BP residue. And it will make loading a second sabot a little tougher. That is why I recommend cleaning between shots. If you are on the bench, thats easy to to do. If you are in the field, I recommend one patch with some spit on it to be run down the barrel. This works very well and its quick.
As far as a starter is concerned, just get one that will not damage the bullets tip and that will seat the saboted bullet down a few inches. I have such a device, but it is not yet in production. Hopefully soon!

Unfortunatly the twist in that rifle is way too slow. You can try it, but I doubt it will shoot very well at all. About a 1:32 is as slow as you could get away with shooting a saoboted bullet. Really, 1:24 up to 1:28 is the best twist rate for this application.

I built a .54 Hawkin long ago, round ball twist. I load a .535" ball and .022" patch for extreme accuracy out of a .540" bore. I use Young Country lube. It will cut a ragged hole at 50 yards and I have knocked down many steel chickens off hand at 200 meters by adding a little more powder and raising the sight.
I have run 200 straight shots without ever wiping the bore, without a loss of accuracy.
My .45 flintlocks also shoot all day.
Just try that with sabot's! Friends bring them to shoot and when you need to put the ramrod against a tree to seat a bullet after the first shot, I decided I will never own one. I will get off 5 accurate shots before an inline is ready to shoot the second shot.
I have killed way over 220 deer with round balls and the .54 rivals a .300 mag for killing power. Even the .45 flinters put them down FAST. Many of my deer were shot over 100 yards.
I shoot all day for the cost wasted by inlines in an hour.
WHERE IS THE GLAMOR?
How can you beat a 1 in 48" twist and Maxi Balls?
There will never, ever be an inline in my safe!
