I doubt it as he kinda seemed to tone it down a bit.

Maybe he realized how little actual discussion happens here, so he left?

He did not post anything with it, probably hadn’t gotten the chance.

We have had several members before who did this.

You might remember Camelo.

He actually set up his own website.

Set up his own forums.

And started talking to himself through several personalities he created.

Went hunting during a closed season.

Someone called him on it.

He said he a special presidential permit!

Trouble was some of the pictures he posted were taken off AR! rotflmo

That's because Trump was Putin's greatest Asset in the world at that time.

And Trump's cult fodder were too.

https://www.businessinsider.co...es-roll-trump-2022-3

Marie Yovanovitch says Putin didn't need to invade Ukraine while Trump was president because he 'could just sit back and let the good times roll' with Trump

Yovanovitch, Trump's former ambassador to Ukraine, said the former president showed "strong, clear admiration" for Putin and other strongmen, disparaged US allies, and had longstanding "negative" views on NATO and other global alliances.

All these things "emboldened Putin — there's no question about it," said Yovanovitch, a fluent Russian speaker and three-time ambassador during her over three decades in the Foreign Service.

kowtowing to Putin, and he made statements and policy decisions that were viewed as benefiting Russian interests, such as pushing for Russia to be readmitted to the G7 group — which had booted Russia for its aggression toward Ukraine.

In July 2018, Trump and Putin held a widely panned press conference following a bilateral summit in Helsinki.

Trump's presser with Putin shocked US allies and provoked severe backlash from national security and foreign policy experts, and even some of Trump's supporters. Among other things, he said he didn't "see any reason" Russia would have meddled in the 2016 election.

When asked whether he believed the US intelligence community or Putin, Trump said Putin was "extremely strong and powerful in his denial." Trump also recycled nonsense conspiracy theories about the FBI and the Democratic National Committee, while refusing to say he supported the findings of US officials over the Russian leader's claims.

In her memoir, "Lessons From the Edge," Yovanovitch describes the meeting and the press conference as "disastrous" and calls the remarks a "spectacle that left observers pondering the depths to which Trump had sunk in his pandering to Putin."

And those statements were "what was said publicly," Yovanovitch writes in her memoir.

"God only knows what Trump said in the two-hour one-on-one meeting with Putin, a meeting unusual not only for its length but because Trump did not brief US officials on the discussion later," she adds. "That raised all sorts of questions."

Yovanovitch was one of more than a dozen witnesses who testified in Trump's first impeachment inquiry about his efforts to strong-arm the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, into announcing political investigations targeting the Bidens ahead of the 2020 US election. While Trump carried out his pressure campaign, he also withheld nearly $400 million in vital military aid to Ukraine — including Javelin anti-tank missiles — and dangled a White House meeting that Zelenskyy desperately wanted.

Yovanovitch pointed to the infamous July 2019 phone call between Trump and Zelenskyy that was the linchpin of his impeachment.

It was "very clear that the president of the United States was trading his office for a personal or political favor, rather than working in our national security interest to help strengthen a partner country," Yovanovitch told Insider.

It was "absolutely appalling," she said, adding that Trump's actions sent a signal to Putin and other strongmen around the world that they could "probably cut deals with this guy" and "manipulate this president."

John Bolton said Putin put off invading Ukraine while Trump ‘did a lot of his work for him’
‘To Putin’s mind...a weaker Nato is a stronger Russia’

A former United States national security secretary adviser has said Vladimir Putin did not invade Ukraine while Donald Trump was president because of his hostility towards Nato, or the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

Speaking with Julie Mason, a journalist and the host of Julie Mason Mornings, John Bolton said Mr Trump’s known hostility of Nato meant Mr Putin was reassured of his aims while the Republican was in office.

There's a difference in "ally" and "asset" in this context.

Funny thing, or not so funny, is how Trump envisioned himself as the deal maker, while all the time Putin and Kim Jong Un played him for the dumb ass that he was, inept to the core for the job, Dunning Kruger effect all the way.

Love letters from Kim Jong Un??? Wow.

I think a person couldn't have smiled, evil smile BTW, any wider when Trump disparaged his own intelligence agencies in front of the world.

Yea, maybe you're correct, Lane.

Maybe it was Trump playing Putin like a fiddle?

Maybe Trump just made Putin think Trump would trash NATO, and withhold military aid to Ukraine, and tame the US intelligent agencies, convince the public that Russia didn't interfere, so Putin wouldn't start some real shit on his watch?

After all, Trump has us convinced, so why not Putin?

Hummm

The participants I see as "owned" are the ones that dedicate the time, effort and interest in creating so.e kind of situation or mood in the pf they think worthy or important. Regor, Daman, and other known names come to mind.

How weird do you have to be to force that level of authority in the pf? The kids really hate the sound of your voice that much?

My impression is that the majority here come and go as they please, participate as they choose and aren't interested/ don't want to offend Saeed enough to get banned, no more or less. SKB was here more a little while back and lately shows up enough to roll his eyes and goes on with his day. I suspect my friend Jtex is thoroughly disgusted with the same old same old and has busied himself with golf or Monopoly or other more fulfilling pursuits than the pf. M.E.? We know he likes to argue and has told us several times he has constraints that are admirable and keep him near home.

Regor? Who gives a fuck. As for me, I have real live people to deal with and internet jackasses don't matter.

I don't agree with name-calling or other ad hominem attacks. Silence on my part did not signify acceptance, just resignation to the outcome of an issue that's been litigated here many times. The outcome is that none of us has control of someone else's keyboard.

As for Regor, I'm tempted to say that a troll deserves whatever treatment he gets. But in the end I have to agree that attacking someone's wife is over the line.

JTEX - Monopoly seems about right.

The thing about arguing/debating is that there are several people herein who are worthy (compliment) of arguing with. There are some who are deserving (sorta compliment) of arguing with. Then there are some who are null . Trolls are in a different category called troll.

There are some folks who are both worthy and deserving of arguing/debating with, like Lane, Doc Butler, JBrown - the list goes on. That's where I try to be as well, but not for the same reasons. Smiler There are some who are worthy, like you. The null ones, well, JTEX is a good example.

This is the place for arguing/debating with worthy and deserving people. There are no stupid people here that I can think of, and very few really over the top. I like it.

My M.O. is to slam dunk an argument if I can with concise and few words. It seldom works, but it's fun to try. Next comes the facts - loads if necessary. Even opinion articles that I post are filled with facts and evidence. I like opinion articles, and recently parodies, because they say for me what I can't say as well. IMO, one has lost the argument when he starts with the name calling. It ain't worth the cyberspace. Making it personal or taking it personal is another losing proposition, or at least risks it; go there carefully if at all, if further debate is wanted.

In some cases debate itself is null. Move on or have fun - your choice.

Example of fun:
BTW, I'm still working on the 500 ways to insult JTEX, and counting. I estimate about 300 so far. Did you notice the two I snuck in this post? 302 and counting. Big Grin

Real conservatives aren't radicalized. Thus "radicalized conservative" is an oxymoron. Yet there are many radicalized republicans.

He is still here.

Steve Ahrenburg has been around since the early inception of AR.

He is an accomplished safari hunter and businessman personally known by many of us.

Go to forums like Trophy Rooms and African Hunting to see most of his posts. He is also an accomplished athlete in distance bicycle racing.

Lane -

Didn't take me long to figure out the dynamic here in the ARPF. Debate, isn't possible.

In the first couple days, I was called; cocksucker, stupid and a fucking liar. There were tasteless jokes made about Regor's wife. That is my line, family.

Regor is NOT a Russian troll. I'll just leave it at that. Believe what you will, makes no difference to me. He owned the liberals in here, made them lose their minds. The libs are happy just having a progressive echo-chamber with no dissenting opinions. They want you gone, rather than engage civil in debate.

Bottom line, nobody cares.

My, aren't you sensitive. Two guys--not the "forum liberals" or anyone but them--call you names, and you don't want to play anymore.

Most of us here want a civil discussion and debate. Regor couldn't own those who recognized him for what he was and put him on ignore. I notice he did generate one fan though: YOU.

My take on debate on the internet is simply, don't say here, what I wouldn't say to another's face. Just that simple. It's not "I don't want to play", it just doesn't interest me.

I'd doubt you know my long history here. I got into more "uncivil" arguments, name calling and ad-hominim attacks on AR back in the early days, I was banned by Saeed. Have no desire to return to those ways.

I try to look at a posters "body of work" and judge them in that manner. Lane and I go back a bit, Dr. Butler I've met. We have shared numerous outfitters across the globe and I have heard nothing but good things about him and I would bet the opposite is true. A mans true character comes to the top when hunting. He and I have even had a few transactions here and his honor and character are apparent.

I spent a week with Mr. Dollar in Brazil and feel like I know the man.

MJines was a man I had a bit of admiration for, again, due to his perceived body of work as a true International Sportsman. Which is why I was bit shocked at some of the stuff that gets posted.

Bottom line is we share more in common as Americans than that which divides us. Our political parties need us up in arms at one another. Its working. Political Party Solidarity is a very dangerous thing. It makes us lose our personal doubt and we believe the narrative, depending upon whos side it comes from.

Point being, If calling someone derogatory names is the price of admission here, I'll pass.

My feelings don't get hurt here. I just don't engage, thats all.

My ego got cured when I started racing bicycles.

My ego got cured here when I met Lane Easter and a couple other folks who I disagree with but respect.

It's give and take. Maybe not for you.
