Just like many people in Canada and the US (both existing under leftist policies), I have more dollars and more wealth, numerically, than I ever had. However, those dollars are worth less than ever before. My position is what it is because, unlike our respective governments, I carry no debt. I don't know if Canada will ever get out of debt, but it is possible. I don't think it is possible for the US, since both parties are deficit spenders. Meanwhile, on MSN, there was an article touting the accomplishments of Kamala Harris. When you read the article and add it all up, the total is sweet eff all. It is a crying shame that people will have to vote for Donald Trump to keep her out of the White House. As bad as he is, Trump will be less of an embarrassment to the country. Economically, there is no winning choice. That is one huge advantage we have in Canada, looking forward, we can elect a real conservative who may actually get back to fiscal responsibility. Bill, I am hoping Canada can get rid of Little Fidel soon as he and his cronies are ruining a beautiful land. Unfortunately you are ruled by just a couple of highly populated provinces and they care not for those out west or up north. If you can get some responsible adults in power there is a good chance for Canada to right its fiscal ship. It will be a long m hard road with a lot of pain along the way. OTOH I don’t see a way for the IS to right its ship. We are 35 TRILLION in debt and counting. I could be mistaken but I believe that our single biggest budget item is I treat on our debt. Our bonds are not even AAA rates any longer. We have kicked the fiscal can down the road for decades and one day the music is going to stop and the United States isn’t going to have a chair to sit upon. When that day comes both parties will blame the other when in fact both parties carry that burden. I sincerely hope your country is able to right itself. Roe V Wade and Trump's immunity cases were both decided by SCOTUS. Ann wanted to see where Roe was in the Constitution and I pointed out the inconsistencies that an originalist such as her embraces when it serves them, i.e. Trump's immunity. Neither are spelled out in the Constitution, yet somehow I'm sure that Presidential immunity is something that Ann approves of because it serves to protect the OBJ. I'm pretty sure most women see the overturning of Roe as a loss of a Constitutional right. | |||

Steve. I have not yet reached my own conclusions on the SCOTUS immunity decision. I do know it is far more reaching than DJT. It protects all living presidents whether we like them or not. As I said I still haven’t worked through this one yet. As for women thinking R v. W being a constitutional right the would simply be incorrect. I also believe that most of them rely on feels vs facts and “feel” that the SCOTUS simply capriciously overturned the case rather than the facts which are a case came before them and they ruled on it. All shrieking and histrionics to the contrary. IMHO it’s a states rights issue and. It a federal issue in the first place.
