. . . who do the Dems want as the Rep candidate Login/Join

One would think that reasonable and thoughtful members of the GOP, admittedly an increasingly rare breed, would be asking themselves, as we go to the polls who do we think the Dems want as the Rep candidate, i.e., who does Biden have the best chance of beating? The answer to that question is patently obvious but the MAGAggot wing of the party just doubles down on stupid. Almost like we have come to like losing elections. Enjoy taking a beating. A vote today for Trump is tantamount to a vote for Biden frankly.

Trump is so polarizing I don't think it matters. MAGAts wouldn't vote for anybody who beat their Orange Savior and the Haley votes are the Republicans and Independents most likely to vote for Biden or sit out; everybody who can imagine voting for Trump is.

President Trump wins NH Primary.

Gov. Haley is going to lose in SC.

It is over.

The AARP Senior Bowl is set.

But Trump has shown his weakness, 51% in Iowa, 54% in N.H., when Biden got 70% without being on the ballot.

Not a landslide...

Not a difference. Looks like a 30kish vote margin.

Pour sand in the fire and call in the dogs.

President Trump v President Biden II.

NH was the best board she had to win w a lot of moderates and independents able to vote.

SC is Feb 24. She will lose there.

I doubt she makes it to FL. Let us say she does. She is getting crushed in FL.

Too many primaries lately resemble coronations. Last three elections have featured pretend primaries with cardboard cutouts for contenders.

Trump got 53% of his party in New Hampshire, not exactly a landslide.

The big state primaries coming up are winner take all, winner take all w 50 percent ( Texas), or winner take all with 50 percent plus 1.

Guess why the state parties changed to those systems? At the requests of President Trump’s campaign.

President Trump got 75 percent of the Republican votes in NH. Gov. Haley survived as she did on independent voters. Those independents are not going to be allowed to vote in the primaries to come.

It is over.

I strongly suspect that if Nikki Haley won the Republican nomination, a considerable portion of Democrats would vote for her. Democrats are painfully aware of Bidens age as well, but “at least he’s not Trump” keeps them in his camp.

Haley would beat Biden, but Biden will beat Trump.

I agree with that. I agree Gov. Haley pulls moderate and independents.

The problem is, she cannot get through the nomination process to get to the General Election.

The GOP allowed President Trump’s election lies, persecution lies, to become the perceived truth.

She'd be lucky to carry six States.

A female Presidential candidate, to have any hope of success, HAS to draw the women voters heavily merely to offset the misogynists, and she has already pissed most of that demographic away with saying she'd be happy to sign a Federal abortion ban. Women are pissed about Roe v Wade, they've had enough of old white men making decisions about their bodies and lives.

What you are seeing in the Haley vote is not support for Haley, it's Republican and independent "Never Trump" voters. In exit polling more than half of her voters said they will vote for Biden over Trump.

For the most recent Republican President to get 51% and 54% in consecutive Primaries shows historic weakness. He should be getting 75-70% by default.

Trump's in trouble and he's taking the Republican Party with him.
