Yeah. I'm sure the local authorities are drawing up an arrest warrant for him as we speak.

This guy literally cannot be held to account. He's been charged with securities fraud and the case was dropped after it sat around for 6 or 8 years. He was taking bribes from some local builder buddy of his and was impeached for it. No doubt about the validity of the charges. He was being bribed. Republican legislature exonerated him on the impeachment vote. Several of the folks that worked for him in the AG's office reported him to the FBI for taking the bribes. He fired them for reporting the bribes. They subsequently sued the state of Texas and got a settlement for $6.6mm which the legislature now refuses to pay. As noted above, his wife recently filed for divorce citing "biblical reasons"....she is also an elected official and a certified looney tune bible thumper. Turns out Paxton has been allegedly banging some other woman for a year or two. They were successful in getting the local republican judge up in Collin County (north of Dallas) to seal the case so the press can't get all the lurid details.

Texas politics man. You gotta love it.

Now, he's running against John Cornyn for Cornyn's senate seat which he has held for as long as I can remember. And, he will win. The television commercials have already started about who loves and honors trump more....Cornyn or Paxton. Makes me want to puke.

My fear is that Bondi will end up getting the Trump chop and Paxton will be entertained as her successor. He is far less dangerous as a Senator than he would be as US AG.

Yeah, he and trump have a lot in common. Both lie every time they open their mouths, both cheat on their wives, both use their offices unethically and illegally. Not surprisingly, trump loves the guy. It will be interesting to see if trump endorses him in the Senate race.
