Glad to contribute. Saturday is the last day of the week, must have been slow for you. Oh well, tomorrow is the first day of a new week. Best regards.

I'll try to make a contribution to your "best day" on a regular basis. It's just the right thing to do. Wink

Per my far-right friend: "reality sucks"

that's one of the conventions - generally people tend to take Sunday or Monday as the first day of the week - but sure, i get that - I personally am not fixed on it, but generally tend to assign Monday as the first day of the week, with sunday being the last ... that is, i take the last 2 days off for the WEEKEND.. so, by that basic and simple logic, if the "weekend" is two days, sunday is the last day

It's been a hoot reading this. You must find it hard to believe Jeff, that Kabob has been divorced twice and has trouble making friends. Wink

I noticed a long time ago that all my Calander's months were divided up into weeks, shown in rows, with the days in the weeks represented by a number - 1-31, or 1-30 for some months, 1-28 for one, and once in four years one month 1-29. And the weeks represented by one row of days started on Sunday and ended on the following Saturday, and so forth in sequence, repeating.

I figured that meant something.

However, as I have learned herein, there can be other realities, if one is "open-minded". Wink

For many years now I have been convinced that the base definition of Reality is: it is what it is.

Here are some related definitions:

"Reality refers to real things or the real nature of things rather than imagined, invented, or theoretical ideas."

"Reality is what you make of it. This notion of perception is best described as “controlled hallucination”. What we perceive as reality is a subjective illusion unique to human perception, not an objective reality."

Christian Reality: "In Christianity, as in Judaism, God is the ultimate reality-the absolute foundation of everything that is, and the end toward which all points."

Which leads me back to the OP. The "end" for Christianity is the Rapture and the apocalypse. That's why they call it the "End Times" and that is what is being preached and pushed now as imminent. It's fundamental to Christianity. Without the doomsday apocalypse prophesy (self-fulfilling), Christianity wouldn't be what it is.

You like to use the term "opinions vary". Opinions are perceptions. Some strive towards reality is what it is. Some are otherwise willy nilly. Belief is similar to opinion, just deeper into one's personal rabbit hole, by choice of selective perception, or another option is base it on facts and evidence as best known.

So, Realities vary, depending on how careful one is with perceptions/imagination/hallucination, or not. So there's two questions. Are you "open minded" enough to understand what I'm saying? And do you accept it? Smiler
