I once thought I saw the image of George Washington in a cloud. While at a funeral, I saw two jets cross in the sky and they made a Christian cross with their contrails. How dare those airlines display religious symbols! I'm pretty sure that expression was around long before the Nazis adopted a similar gesture. | |||

It’s a gesture. Intent means quite a bit. I doubt there are not many who have not done the “hitlergruss” in response to some authoritarian demand that they wanted to make a sarcastic response to.
