I once thought I saw the image of George Washington in a cloud. While at a funeral, I saw two jets cross in the sky and they made a Christian cross with their contrails. How dare those airlines display religious symbols! I'm pretty sure that expression was around long before the Nazis adopted a similar gesture.

Do you actually believe Elon is a nazi! If so, you are a nut. If not, why are you worried about his gestures? We all know he is a bit eccentric. cuckoo

He was tripping on Ketamine, and he's Nazi-adjacent, has ties to practically every far-right movement on the planet.

In Germany he would be arrested for it.

The Jewish Anti-Defamation League (surely not a MAGA group) said it was clearly just exuberance and in no way a Nazi salute. I think they know the difference in a Sieg Heil and Musk’s gesture. They’ve been there and earned the right to call it for what it was.

Looks like Trump and Musk are having a bit of a disagreement. Trump touted his new AI initiative, 500 billion dollars, with most of the money coming from private investors. Musk laughed and said today that the private investors simply don’t have the 500 billion. All isn’t good in Buffy and Buffy land after 2 days in office.

I'm sure that had nothing to do with trump's support of the ADL.

He gave the Nazi salute. I don't give a shit. But, he did.

Make of it what you will.

It didn't look like a Nazi salute? If you want to talk about facts?

Just sayin, bro. It was a Nazi salute. I dunno what that means...but, that's what it was.

More to the point. Why are we even talking about a member of the US government giving the Nazi salute?

Because trump is a fucking idiot? And a cancer? That we have to talk about his closest associates giving something that looks like a Nazi salute?

Hmmmm/

Intent matters. There is no intent here. There is plenty even in this young administration to be critical of team Trump. This is nothing.

not every jews agree on your post or what The Jewish Anti-Defamation League said or wrote ...

in the article you have : Ruth Ben-Ghiat, a history professor at New York University, said: “Historian of fascism here. It was a Nazi salute and a very belligerent one too.” so you see there is only some differences of interpretation ...

It’s a gesture.

Intent means quite a bit.

I doubt there are not many who have not done the “hitlergruss” in response to some authoritarian demand that they wanted to make a sarcastic response to. I know I did that to a teacher and barked out “heil”… I got in more than a little trouble for that back in junior high…
