Christian Nationalism.

The question is, is Christian Nationalism fascist?

I can think of nothing more fascist than a president voiding the Constitution w an executive order.

Fascism allows for private property and enterprise directed by the state. President Trump has no such economic doctrine. Best I can tell, Trump’s plan is to let select private businesses receive heavy state investment with little no oversight, regulation. Socialism without the government incurring ownership or using the power of government to direct the course of those businesses.

The ceos being brought adjacent to the Administration looks like Corporatism, but I do not see Trump trying to direct, through government, that private enterprise.

The maintenance of private property was a major ideological point in Italian fascism from the socialism that Mussolini broke from.

We really should be looking at how Mussolini frame fascism as a religious movement with himself as the head of a religious movement, compared and contrast to Trump and Christian Nationalism. I do not know how it would break, but it would be enlightening. Of course, framing the political w the religious with the political leader at the center of the religious is not new nor unique to Fascism.

Fascism in execution has been totalitarian. President Trump despite assuming power not vested to him as president by the Constitution, is not yet totalitarian.

I think Trumpism covers the worst of it.

I haven't been saying "it" in the context of maturity, but instead momentum and apparent goal, and means.

I do not know. Hence, the above. For the reasons I said above, I do not believe Trump to be a traditional economic Fascism.

I simply do my know. I see fascist elements and non-fascist elements.

It is certainly nationalist. However, that alone does not make fascism. It is an element.

There are those who organize political parties into Capitalist, Communist, and Fascist categories. Since Trump is clearly not Capitalist, nor Communist, that makes him Fascist.

But, not really.

The actual, real German Fascists combined racism with socialism, which is ideology closer to American Progressive thought than Right Wing Populists.
