One candidate has pissed on Trump's leg. The other is facing allegations of stolen valor. https://www.politico.com/news/...-trump-ohio-00131833 It will be interesting to see which choice the Republicans select. I would bet that the MAGA element would be more critical of the guy who threw shade at Donald Trump. They would most likely be happy to support someone that lied about his military service. Republicans don't have a problem fielding candidates that are pathological liars,

stolen valor is a terrible offense.

when do we expel blumenthal?
https://www.nytimes.com/2010/0...on/18blumenthal.html

oh, and draft dodging also seems to be horrible, never mind that clinton, obama, and slowbiden (and trump) all did it

quote:
“We have learned something important since the days that I served in Vietnam,” Mr. Blumenthal said to the group gathered in Norwalk in March 2008. “And you exemplify it. Whatever we think about the war, whatever we call it — Afghanistan or Iraq — we owe our military men and women unconditional support.”

There was one problem: Mr. Blumenthal, a Democrat now running for the United States Senate, never served in Vietnam. He obtained at least five military deferments from 1965 to 1970 and took repeated steps that enabled him to avoid going to war, according to records.

Obama was 12 when the draft ended.

And Blumenthal DID join the Marine Reserve in 1970, and apologized for his mis-statement.

It's some funny shit when you read what he actually said, and did.
He claimed he served in vietnam, but had multiple deferments, until he joined the reserves. He then stayed in DC doing toys for tots drives. Roll Eyes

Big Grin

You are correct. The weather forecast here is for some cool spell, like 27F at night here, and no higher than 50F daytime. That's just right for hanging a deer for aging a couple days. No bugs.

That's what I wait for since I'm a meat hunter.
