Out of pure, (and normal for me,) crankiness, if I were armed and at the Washington or Lincoln Memorial observed someone vandalizing the memorial, I commanded them to stop and they advanced on me, I'd shoot the fucker.

If I saw someone destroying Mt Rushmore, I was armed and commanded them to stop and they advanced on me I'd shoot the fucker.

If I caught a guy jumping out my window with my tv/ sofa/ dinner/ wallet/ gun in his hand and running away I'd bid him Happy Trails! Safe Passage! Bon Voyage! Needless violence repels me. On the other hand, if they're coming at and after me, as all 2000 of them were that day they'd get bullets, ( plural).

I'm not that fucking stupid to anyone other than Doc Mitchell and Schrodinger, I can see the obvious decay in our nation and the instigators of it. But I'll be damned if I'd turn a blind eye to an assault on the Capitol while those there are employed in a lawful procedure just because they're seating a government I voted no on.

The estimates I saw were >6000 people went to DC in protest.

Even if 2000 went to the Capitol…2/3s remained peaceful. A 2/3s majority counts as “mostly” in the math and English I learned. YMMV!

As to the gallows…these were the only ones there.

Making a factual statement is neither.

The ones that were trying to overthrow the government are paying the stupidity tax. Frankly, I agree with those that say it was never going to work, but if you’re going to be stupid, pay the price.

It’s also looking like Trump admits he knew better, at least from his testimony I have seen quoted here. If so, he really is a POS. If he was just deluded and suffering from depression and while wrong, believed what he was spouting, while bad, wasn’t evil.

If as it was implied that he knew better, but was doing this for his personal improvement, that seems to be something different. Treason? That’s not necessarily the best word, but that comes to mind.

The Bill of Rights and the 2nd Amendment were never intended to be limitations upon the State Legislatures. That is legally and historically clear fact. The Incorporation Doctrine and Funded Rights Doctrine changed that original intent. Both being Bemch Made law that overturned precedent going back to the 1800s.
