It was a simple question, no whining anywhere. Why so upset? Is there something here that is embarrassing?

The US and Israel don't belong in that list, and it's very sad that this does not bother you and others here.

Particularly poignant on this day, the anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

It’s the list of countries that did not vote for the condemnation of Russia for invading Ukraine.

The question is why did this happen… it could be the wording, the rationale, etc.

Given that there have been multiple condemnations I’m not sure why this is a big issue now, but so.

I’d say more let’s see how the negotiations go, but I get that the mood in Europe is that Trump is a sell out to Putin.

Wrong. There was an "abstain" vote alternative. The "abstain" vote was selected by China, Cuba, Syria, Iran, and a couple of other countries.

The US chose to suck Putin's dick harder than Iran would. More than China would. More than Cuba would.

And Venezuela didn't vote at all...

You're in the east bloc now, comrade.

When Putin has OJ by the nuts and tells the POTUS “do as I say or I’ll crush you”, I guess OJ complies.

I wonder what it feels like, having theoretically the most powerful job in the word, and still have your leash twitched by a piss ant grubby dictator like Putin.

Interesting…

So the vote to condemn Russia again did not have the support of even a minimal majority of the permanent members of the security council.

Rather than say how bad the US is, maybe one should ask how this is not unanimously supported at the UN?

The UN is good as a place to talk, but is utterly useless as a place to get anything done. A world government it ain’t.

because Russia is the enemy and you are starting to sleep with ... with other members of the security council voted with usa? russia what an interesting coincidence ... you vote and you make your bed ... asks the NATO countries how they feel about it ... it is not a strategic vote it is a vote to destroy your alliance and you did well not good luck to gain it ... cannot wait to hear when for any reason your country will need support like it happened in the past ... it is not because it is california but you certainly did not notice canadian firefighters and planes that came ... friends were made for this it s destroyed for a long run ...

nah, bruv -- they swap out a couple reactors in the refineries and then process WTI -- and, with the current admin, the EPA would actually approve the changes -- it's not rocket surgery to make the change, just requires EPA sign-off --

remember, the US is a net exporter of oil since trump's first term

Have you ever actually looked into the tarries Canada imposes on some goods coming in from the US?

Well, sort of. You also need someone to finance the infrastructure, most of the big players have shown somewhere between little and no interest in making that kind of investment.

I explain why they haven't made the investment when I explained that the epa wouldn't allow it

Oh, btw, they make the investment every few years, it's called a turnaround

The EPA, the uncertain future of fossil fuels, changing demands of investors. There is more than one factory at play.

I didn't say that they don't invest, but that they won't make the investment required to convert to the kind of oil that we pump.

Steve
I am telling you that they do make exactly the investment required, every couple years, to rebuild the refineries is what is called a "turnaround".. it's a normal cost of business and would require only small additional spends to use wti, but the epa is blocking that. We could be fully oil independent of we do it that way.. but WOW what a world wide impact it would be uf the us then imported zero oil.. economies would collapse

In return you get none of the protections we have afforded you over the decades since the beginning of the Cold War.

Please don’t tell us you think you can field a credible military.

Most of your Air Firce is American made and your army’s battle rifle is an American design (you should have never given up the FAL).

Well, keep dreamin about real men or swedish pussies, your preferences may be whatever you wish them to be. Playing tough guy on the internet is easy, but it is hard for me to know if you would back it up in real life.

Hmmm. One guy here at AR a long time ago hit a nerve with an insult. I was a new father at that time, maybe I had a bit of a short fuse when an insult went into forbidden areas. So I offered this guy, Pecos45, to pay for a two way ticket to Sweden... and to break his jaw while he was here. Dentistry fees included.

He declined.

A few months later, when I asked something on the cast bullets forum, Pecos45 messaged me and asked if he could send me his lead casting gear, which he did.

He turned out to be a nice guy, in real life.

Well, I don't know why I brought this up. Maybe your ankle-biting tries to insult. I haven't insulted you though. I am not impressed.
