I have been saying and posting about Project 2025 since I first learned about it, months ago.

The link in the post above is a good one. It's not boring and explains.

For one thing - Project 2025 is not eliminating the Deep State, it's creating one in the worst way.
(I won't use the "F" word. It might offend Doc Butler.)

There are numerous videos and articles about this, and related. It took a while to buzz up in the media.

Project 2025 is all about institutionalizing Trumpism.

Inside the Heritage Foundation’s Plans for ‘Institutionalizing Trumpism’
https://www.nytimes.com/2024/0...AUj69&smid=url-share

The above link is a question/answer interview with the CEO of Heritage Foundation Kevin D. Roberts

Here's an excerpt:

Question:
I’d like to talk about domestic politics, and I want to hear about your vision for this country and specifically the next administration. Project 2025 is Heritage’s big project in advance of the next election, a plan for if a conservative takes over the presidency. How would you describe its purpose?

Partial answer:
It’s a presidential-transition project, which means that if there’s a conservative who wins — and I mean, frankly, if President Biden wanted to use it, we would love it. It just seems unlikely.

https://www.google.com/search?...sclient=gws-wiz#ip=1

And, Trumpism is all about zero-sum, tribalism, transactional, authoritarianism.

We have been wondering how Christians could support him. The answers should be obvious by now. It's all the above. It's zero-sum, transactional, pure end justifies the means.

The way to facilitate the power, perpetually is all in the plan. It's about converting the traditional administrative state (agencies for example) to a radicalized, zealot driven administrative state (deep state), devoted to an ideology and equally devoted to purging other influences.

First requisite is loyalty, fidelity to an office if not the person (POTUS). And they have built into the plan what they call training, but it's really about vetting for loyalty and indoctrination.

It's also about never losing another election.

It's about fundamentally altering the way govt functions to serve a Christian Nationalist agenda, and it's not about the traditional ying and yang, such as eventually democrats win, or compromise. Just imagine what democrats could and would do with the GOPer prototype of governance, per Project 2025. These GOPers certainly don't imagine that because the setup and final outcome plans for that to never happen.

The really DEEP problem with it all is that the GOPers behind all of it and those supporting it have the mind-set that's it's a contest of good vs evil. They and their beliefs being the good, of course. It's not just societal or cultural or philosophical or moral or social contract good vs evil - it's Biblical good vs evil for them.

And it's clear from their rhetoric who and what they deem evil, which must be purged, or at least subdued or quelled.

God told them so.

Infidels MUST know their place in this Christian Nation, and if not - SHOWN by sufficient means.

Most of the MAGA mouthbreathers are unaware of Project 2025 and/or don't care as long as they get cheap gas and groceries.

They forget that cheap gas was an artifact of COVID 19. Maybe they'd like trump to cohort with the Chinese and bring in another virus.

As long as they are economically satisfied and protected a lot of folks don't care what trump does.

I read somewhere that that oil futures at one time were selling at less than zero, due to supply being much greater than demand, relating to covid.

So they cut supply for the sake of price, and so forth.

2020 was the year of COVID. Gasoline prices started to rise in 2021 after Putin invaded Ukraine and have remained there ever since. During 2020 prices were generally cheaper than they were in previous years.

In all honesty the lower pricing didn't last all that long.

I'd posit that $10 gasoline might not be the financial burden for you that it would be for many others. One thing I've heard and read from trump supporters is the desire for lower cost fuel and grocery prices again.

A simple look at the chart shows that gasoline was generally the lowest cost in 2020 tho maybe not appreciably less depending upon one's take on it. Consumption was lower because many folks worked from home and many places closed.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news...ooL2JjLuZlfW3ATCb214

"Trump enjoyed a benign economic environment. And, importantly, American shale energy firms were competing for market share with Middle East oil drillers, which led to overproduction and low gas prices for consumers. On the other hand, Trump got slammed with the COVID outbreak in 2020 and the madness of lockdowns and business closures."

The good times for low cost gasoline ended when Russia invaded Ukraine.

NPR had a live news talk with a reporter from Atlanta and one from NYC a couple weeks ago.
The topic was The lincoln Project and 2025.
The reporters took turns telling it was a "think tank" and a wish list for the members. Trump was going to use it for his manifesto and so on. About 15 min or so.
The host asked questions. Then at one point she said " some of the things you list go against what Trump has shown to and claims he wants. How will they get him to follow along, when he will not take advise that he doesnt like, helping him or not."
Complete crickets, from the reporters. She called each ones name...... finally one of them said, "well, they will work at it"
You could tell the host did not expect the reporters would be stumped by her question.
That from NPR, proved I'm not going to wring my hands and clutch my pearls quite yet over it.

Much of Trump's rhetoric in his speeches parallels the goals of project 2025 There is no doubt about that. Of course Trump will deviate to suit his whims and ego.

The point is clear - the CEO of Heritage Foundation couldn't have said it better. The whole point of Project 2025 is to "institutionalize Trumpism".

An interview conducted by NPR, and floundering, proves nothing unless one is looking to sustain always already listening doubt.

It's the plan, man. It will be challenged in court, of course, which is why the long term plan has been to load the courts with biased judges. And look at how Trump, etc., has played the judicial system so far. It takes years to sort it out. Meanwhile, every trick will be used, executive orders, etc.

Okay, I read your post and I'll respond - this time - because you didn't make it personal, and your post is reasonable.

I have doubts too. Mostly because I think Trump is a loser. But the Project 2025 is a plan aside from Trump, and can be a playbook for any GOPer regime. It's as close to a GOPer platform, in detail, as has ever been presented, traditional conservativism aside. It's Bannon and Flynn and Trump and MAGA Mike, etc. It's whatever Trump wants. It's extremism.

They may not be able to implement all of it, but there is no doubt they will try, and go beyond anything before. It will be challenged, but the damage will be done.

I'm not "worried" either. I still trust the system. But Project 2025 is an afront to the "system". There can be no doubt that they plan to supplant the traditional Founder's "system" with something else.

The fact that they would dream this up and actually think it's okay is telling.

And, we can count on the movement, the vast right wing thing, to be relentless. There can be no doubt that Project 2025 is the product of the long view, or worldview.

I presume you mean Trump is lying again.

And I agree with you about the format where they have 1 of 5 or 1 of 10, etc. I think they do it to increase the platform for ads.

Anyway, there should be no doubt that the GOP platform is represented by project 2025.

Trump apparently was advised to distance himself from it because it's just too obvious as to what the plan and ideology and arrogance is.

I mean, really, who would openly and proudly declare a political party was the Fascist Party?

I am tired of arguing about the notion that the Left in the USA is akin to communism.

It is not. Just because Far-Right extremists declare the Democratic Party the radical left certainly doesn't mean it is true. It just means from their perspective, fascist, the ideology is radically different, and they sure don't want to use the disgusting (to them) label of Representative Democracy or Democratic Republic as representing what the Left in the US is about.

Whereas the Right as it has morphed, especially with Trumpism, and shown clearly with Project 2025, and more, is clearly akin to fascism.

Per Wikipedia:

Communism (from Latin communis, 'common, universal')[1][2] is a left-wing to far-left sociopolitical, philosophical, and economic ideology within the socialist movement,[1] whose goal is the creation of a communist society, a socioeconomic order centered around common ownership of the means of production, distribution, and exchange that allocates products to everyone in the society based on need.[3][4][5] A communist society would entail the absence of private property and social classes,[1] and ultimately money[6] and the state (or nation state).[7][8][9]

Communists often seek a voluntary state of self-governance but disagree on the means to this end. This reflects a distinction between a more libertarian socialist approach of communization, revolutionary spontaneity, and workers' self-management, and a more authoritarian vanguardist or communist party-driven approach through the development of a socialist state, followed by the withering away of the state.[10] As one of the main ideologies on the political spectrum, communism is placed on the left-wing alongside socialism, and communist parties and movements have been described as radical left or far-left.[11][12][note 1]

Fascism (/ˈfæʃɪzəm/ FASH-iz-əm) is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement,[1][2][3] characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.[2][3] Opposed to anarchism, democracy, pluralism, liberalism, socialism, and Marxism,[4][5] fascism is placed on the far-right wing within the traditional left–right spectrum.[6][5][7]

I am not going to argue communism as it basically requires a dictatorship to satisfy the definition.

But…the 21st century left, the 21st century Democratic Party, ARE socialists — 100% through and through.

As a member of the right and many would say far right in the USA…

…other than being pro-USA first (ie: nationalistic)…there is NOTHING in that definition that pertains to the right in USA.

Well, the word socialism is kinda like the word democracy.

Both really need an adjective.

For example, the word democracy stand alone has broad meanings, which lead to confusion and needs boiling down. Pure democracy, representative democracy, democratic republic, and so forth.

Pure socialism isn't really workable in the US. Democratic Socialism (lite) might be.

Just for fun, here is the definitions relating to UAE:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...United_Arab_Emirates

Politics of the United Arab Emirates

Politics of the United Arab Emirates take place in a framework of a federal presidential elective constitutional monarchy[1] (a federation of absolute monarchies).[2] The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is a federation of seven constituent monarchies: the Emirates of Abu Dhabi, Ajman, Dubai, Fujairah, Ras al-Khaimah, Sharjah, and Umm al-Quwain.

According to convention, the ruler of Abu Dhabi (Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan) is the president of the United Arab Emirates (despite holding the title of president, the country is not governed as a presidential republic) and the head of state, and the ruler of Dubai is the prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, the head of the government. Within the UAE, emirates have considerable administrative autonomy within themselves.[3][4]

The UAE is an authoritarian state.[3][5][6][7] The UAE has been described as a "tribal autocracy" where the seven constituent monarchies are led by tribal rulers in an autocratic fashion.[8] There are no democratically elected institutions, and there is no formal commitment to free speech.[9]

The discovery of oil in Abu Dhabi in 1958 and the country's subsequent oil wealth has defined its politics and economy, as well as shaped its foreign policy behavior.[10]

The format I was referring to is the space between the current page and the right edge/scroll bar where if you happen to click on it, the page closes and a month later the page seems to disappear.

Interesting that you think so.

Fascism:

Is far-right - What's to argue about there? It's true.

Authoritarian - Dictator day one. Project 2025. 50,000 shock troops. etc.

ultranationalist political ideology and movement - what's MAGA, America First, Christian Nationalism all about if not that?

dictatorial leader - What's Trumpism and Trump all about? "I am the chosen one, I alone can fix this".

centralized autocracy - see recent SCOTUS decision on POTUS immunity, and Project 2025

militarism - declaring martial law - day one. Declaring a new American Revolution, bloodless IF the left allows it, etc.

forcible suppression of opposition - see project 2025, 50,000 shock troops, schedule F, conflation of church and state, declare political retribution as a specific goal, weaponizing law enforcement, farce investigations, legal bribery, legal coercion and blackmail from the top, etc. PPOTUS Direct DOJ to attack anyone, any org, deemed disloyal or opposition, with impunity, per SCOTUS decision.

subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation or race - White Christian Supremacy, institutionalized

strong regimentation of society and the economy - What was SCOTUS doing with deleting Roe/Wade and Chevron if not regimentation per ideology? Regimentation takes many forms, such as replacing income tax with tariffs, gutting agencies with no rational replacement, gutting Obamacare and dept of education, gutting environmental laws, etc.

Opposed to anarchism, democracy, pluralism, liberalism, socialism, and Marxism - of course, why compete? The majority of Rightists' demonizing lies are part of the propaganda, and are really a direct attack on the rule of law, democracy, and the whole philosophy of Trumpism is illiberalism.

The impression I got from most of the discussion about it was that, if you substituted liberal ideals for conservative, it would be just dandy. In other words, what we see here is a partisan bullshit response to a partisan bullshit concept. Holy shit! No wonder we are in the predicament we are. Regards, Bill.

Well, Bill, what is the non-partisan response to Project 2025 and heritage foundation's head saying it's the Second America Revolution, success inevitable, and the Left should just get used to it and get out of the way, or else they will be the cause of bloodshed?

Better yet, what is the appropriate bipartisan response, realistically of course?

Trump's dream regime
Story by Jim VandeHei • 8h • 4 min read

(excerpt)

Republicans long fantasized about a very different government: one run by a strong president indifferent to media pressure, empowered by a Republican Congress, backed by a conservative Supreme Court and lower court system, and free of administrative state handcuffs and hostile federal employees.

Why it matters: This dream — a true decades-long, unfolding nightmare for Democrats — is closer to reality than at any point in our lifetimes.

If you're a Republican, you probably love this. If you're a Democrat, you probably loathe it. Either way, readers should be clear-eyed about the totality of sweeping change in governing power.

If Trump wins and congressional Republicans run the table, the other components for the most powerful White House in history are set firmly in place, and increasingly in law.
