I'm seeing pictures of what is "supposed" to be the door in question and the signs on it could definitely cause confusion but people fake and manipulate pictures so much anymore I don't know what to accept as real.

He was in an office building a 5 minute walk from the Capitol. Apparently the exit he normally uses is kept open during votes but is an emergency-only exit otherwise. It has signs on it saying to "push until alarm sounds" to open it but he had apparently never operated it that way and thought it meant the fire alarm right next to the door rather than the push-bar.

A congressman who cant sound out the word EMERGENCY, must be. Was he the one that asked if Guam would tip over with 8,000 marines on shore?

Seems the door is kept open through the week so Members with offices in it can go most directly to the Capitol, but since it was Saturday it was closed and he doesn't seem to be the brightest light on the tree...
