Remember when I said the Supreme Court precedent preventing states from banning birth control was the next target of the Organized Christian Evangelicals.

Dr. Easter said it would not happen.

Well, a Texas Judge has already struck down a Fed Law permitting Teens access to Contraception wo parental consent. This Texas Judge’s ruling is in direct violation, no wiggle room, to the Supreme Court case Carey v. Population Services International that declared minors have a right to contraception wo parental consent.

Again, let us relitigate all the culture war issues we done lost. That will make people vote for us.

https://www.dallasnews.com/new...eens/?outputType=amp

Now, Texas Judge has done it again striking Down provisions of the Affordable Care Act that require coverage to pay for contraception and things like Diabetes prevention, cancer screenings, and HIC treatment.

https://www.pbs.org/newshour/a...e-program-for-minors

I cannot say too much. KY Legislature just told doctors Thou Myst De-Transition your patients regardless of what the medical community, the child’s parents, or the child wants.

We are your Republic Legislators. We know what is best.

We should be ashamed of ourselves. The usual folks will be so proud.

Parents should be involved in all medical decisions for under age minor children!

Unless they have been declared emancipated minors by the court.

The courts can get involved in letting individuals be free of parental authority.

Coincidentally what exactly are we talking about here?

Probably hormonal contraceptives.

They do have side effects, you know.

To the best of my knowledge condoms (make and female) are not regulated. If a kid has money, they can buy them, and no law is involved there. Kind of hard to regulate that.

Now, there is an indirect way that even with these laws the parents can find out.

They are paying the bills. Even PP submits them.

The billing is coded to service (by law).

They just need to get their billing statements and work backwards.

Same way that your government knows your supposedly private health information.

HIPPA gives them that right.

Parents involved in all medical decisions? Except gender dysphoria. We have a legislature that knows best.

And not for north control for the reasons the Supreme Court has stated.

If I were the aggrieved party in the Texas Case, I would not appeal and Give this Supreme Court a chance to overturn another 50 year old precedent that extended rights.

The District Judge has a really mandatory obligation to follow clear precedent by the Supreme Court. Then the other side can appeal. That is the appropriate path to get the issue back before the Appellate Courts.

More utter stupidity.

And when the teen birth rates skyrocket you will blame the liberals.

What "sanity" did the health care industry have before AHCA? 45 million people with zero coverage and insurance companies denying claims as a standard practice. After AHCA was passed you couldn't find a single republican governor who actually wanted it gone, lip service or not.

Huh?

Are you saying that a person cannot go to a doctor, pay cash for the visit, and then pay cash for their prescription in Texas (or any other state?)

If so, we have REALLY lost the plot.

I operate multi businesses. I employ a lot of people. I built all of my businesses from the ground up without a pot to piss in upon graduating from college — with a large debt which I managed to pay off expediently by working my ass off.

All of the above while becoming a board-certified equine orthopedic surgeon and rising to the top of my professional field.

You my friend live in the fantasy world. My life is operated on facts dictated by science and economics.

Self-important as they come.

It is rare to meet someone with such a high opinion of themselves as you have Lane, humble you are not. Well, there is Trump.....

Or people line you, creating a situation where a good number of young women will end up bearing the children of their abusers??

I just don’t believe that is the case.

Well, you do live in a fantasy world......

Actually…I live more in the real world than most here.

I'm sure that will matter to a young lady who is being abused by a family member and unable to access contraception.

Self important much?

My diagnosis is that the good Doctor has no sense of reality.

Moral decency......right, and I'm the Pope.

You and reality don’t belong in the same statement.

I on the other hand…sit on a school board as well as other boards and am very active in my community as well as local, state, and national politics in my neck of the woods.

My community locally, politically, and professionally knows me and I them. We all work well together.

You know what is best for everybody.

Sounds about right.

Self-important as they come.

A born Texan has instilled in his system a mind-set of no retreat or no surrender. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.– Billy Clayton, Speaker of the Texas House

No state commands such fierce pride and loyalty. Lesser mortals are pitied for their misfortune in not being born in Texas.— Queen Elizabeth II on her visit to Texas in May, 1991.

How about some sanity and moral decency.

You shouldn't use words you don't understand, like "sanity" and "moral decency." You can make a joke of yourself like that.

If you claim to value sanity and moral decency, why do support Trump? End of story. There so much hypocrisy and bull-headed stupidity in the answer to that question.

I don't think you're natively stupid--I think you're being driven to stupidity by fear. You're afraid of one thing essentially: change. You've made it clear you want to turn the clock back to the '50s and '60s, before the civil rights era. A great time to be alive for white people, especially white bigots. (No black presidents). No so good for anyone else.
