Actually Mike…I agree with most or that. Unfortunately…what goes around…comes around. Democrats should learn that.

And I think it started with Clinton impeachment for what? Getting BJ in The Oval Office?

Not a fan of either candidate, but why think impeachment for something that happened BEFORE he took office unless you have some proof he's doing it now? Since trump has already been convicted of fraud [and by association probably tax evasion] he should be impeached after taking the oath. Why even bother with the oath since it means nothing to him anyway?

An opinion by a judge on summary that every honest attorney on here will tell you was a joke.

Fraud??? Who was the party defrauded? The documents in question were for financial institutions who were quite happy and satisfied. Information on the documents was opinion. The judge was no expert on the subject matter to render that opinion. Another pure political hit-job. And people like you, that have evidently never filed a finnancial statement with a lending institution, buying into that hit-job is the reason we have the worst of the worst political candidates in this day in time.

Are you saying you misrepresent the value of your assets on your financial statements and that's OK so long as you end up servicing the loan per the agreement?

Oh boy. popcorn

Mike, come on, man,
you pulled that out of your
assumption
support
system

i expect you've got more than a passing acquaintance with contract law - and you've like seen your fair share of prospecti, and likely signed on the dotted line for a loan or three -- On the later, did the bank EVER take your word for what the value of the real property was?

ever?

More false equivalencies. I wasn't pledging a 60 story building in downtown NY as collateral.

i wasn't speaking of trump, i was asking on your personal experience.

Let us remember that Trump opted for a non-jury trial and the Judge found the evidence of liability overwhelming.

It is not fraud when you lie to banks and insurance companies and cheat them out of money.

It is fraud when you lie to them to get money. Everything after that is immaterial to the fraud.

In fact, he did cheat the banks out of interest they would have earned with the higher rates they would have charged if given an accurate assessment of his financial condition.

And I dare say that a Member of the New York Supreme Court is likely more familiar with the intricacies of New York Law than either you or I.

The banks are all on record saying they were happy with the statement and were not harmed in anyway.

And, the fraud was the listed value of a property and from the data I have seen…Trump’s statement was WAY closer to reality than the value the judge used. The judge is NOT an expert on property value of which they rendered opinion.

So you have a fraud case with no injured party (no one was defrauded) based on an opinion on real-estate value on a financial statement by a non-expert in real-estate evaluation. Give me a break!

Man your ignorance is shining through.

Finnancial statements want your best estimate on values. The key word is estimate. They are free to argue that estimate if they choose at which time you can use formal appraisals if needed. In Trump’s case…they did not and accepted it as face value. The estimate for the real-estate was within reason and a helluva closer reality than the number the judge chose to use as a value.

The bank went further and stated publicly that they were happy with the statement and were not only not harmed but happy with the business deal.

It appears that the Biden profession is selling out our country slowly over time like a cheap flea-market.

Bullshit.

There's not one credible piece of evidence out there that ties President Biden to the receipt of any illegal donation or party to a quid pro quo deal that he profited from due to his political position. It's a lie and no matter how many times you idiot republicans repeat it, it will still be a lie. Kind of like "trump won."

Of course we know you are more on top of the evidence than Turley and have a higher understanding of Constitutional law than he but…

Turley: “The evidence has risen to level that Comer would be derelict in duty if he did not bring impeachment inquiry to a vote.” [paraphrased]

I read fine and saw what you posted.

So, what's the evidence he refers to?

I personally have not reviewed the evidence and I am not stating “my” opinion. I have been very careful here to only repeat what Turley has stated.

I have come to trust Johnathon Turley as a knowledgeable scholar on Constitutional law and have never found his analysis to be estranged from the truth.

For him to make the profound statements he has made in the last few days…I “trust” there must be some there there. The purpose of the inquiry is to assess the significance of the evidence and to air it…is it not? Turley suggests it is compelling. I have no reason to dispute and would like it explored.

So, you're willing to go along with impeaching the POTUS based on a right-wing whackjob's say-so. "Just because."

That's what I thought. Terrific example of critical thinking. Roll Eyes

So “you” consider Jonathan Turley a right-winged whack-job???

Well, he's not a nut like you but he's working on it. Right wing propagandist might be a better term

When I testified in the first Biden impeachment hearing, I said that there was ample evidence to justify an impeachment inquiry and that a formal vote should be held. I can’t imagine how anyone would look at this evidence and not believe that a formal inquiry should begin. There’s been a litany of lies that have come out of the Biden family and the White House. The president denied knowing about any of these business arrangements. Even Hunter said that wasn’t true. We now know he called in numerous times to talk with clients. He had meetings, photographs with these clients. And now we see joint accounts where money is moving to Joe Biden. We even have Joe Biden’s house being listed for some of these payments by Hunter Biden. It’s rather daunting to imagine what you need, according to the Democrats. So I think the moment of truth has arrived. Democrats have either got to show that they stand against corruption and approve an inquiry or they have to take ownership of this because influence peddling is the favorite form of corruption in Washington. But none of us have seen the likes of this.

You can't think, "what goes around comes around" is a good idea. I know you don't. These moves only hasten our own destruction.

It is not the best way for sure. And, I am unsure how to stop it…it has become a vicious cycle. As a Representative government…the Representatives must fulfill the wishes of the constituents or not be re-elected. Representatives are the most vulnerable here.

The vicious cycle is a product of the deep division in will of the people or at least the visions of the Parties.

The division boils down to socialism vs. capitalism. Socialism gives power to the government (especially the bureaucracy). Capitalism leaves it with the people. The inner city people have evolved to want socialism. The rural/small town people want to keep capitalism. The suburban people are a mixture.

The Democratic Party has embraced socialism. Barack Obama’s massive NGO army has taught them how to “harvst” the vote of the inner city and to appeal to the desires of the suburbanites. This is the faster growing population and it seems to have gained majority status. The will for power makes them break down the norm of civil decorum in the procedures of politics.

The Republican Party is rooted in Capitalism. Capitalism is embraced by the independent (not meaning the political classification of independent) people…the mostly suburban/small town/rural individuals. The independent minded populace (the building blocks of traditional America) is shrinking. They were used to always having the power. The fear of losing control makes them fight back with whatever tool is available…fighting fire with fire…if you will.

Thus…you have the “what goes around…comes around” vicious cycle and I don’t see it ending anytime soon…

…unless Capitalism capitulates to Socialism…

…and I sure as hell don’t want that.

So for the time-being…I accept that you sometimes have to fight fire with fire to save bulk of the ranch…IE: the greater good or essence of what America is.

Amen my friend!!!!

The only result these dumbass liberals will accept without a brawl is total capitulation. Not compromise, ccapitulation. Lets brawl, right up until there is true compromise.
