Well, I cannot reason with anyone who refuses reason.
This is where dialogue disintegrates.
Ironically, this is exactly what Charlie Kirk’s campus talks are all about.
He gave an open mic for anyone to approach and argue whatever topic they chose.
He argued his point, well or not, and always gave the counterpoint a platform to argue theirs.
If turning away from discussion to protect one’s presuppositions is accepted as a logical defense then one loses their intellectual position.
As much as I disagree with so much posted on the ARPF, I do think we all owe each other some effort.

For the record, I haven't seen you endorse any of Trump's actions. I think Medved's accusations otherwise aren't a fair characterization of your positions.

I do get the impression from your posts that you agree with Charlie Kirk on some issues, though I'd be hard-pressed to give an example.

Kirk was not Trump, though he was a big supporter. But he was not Trump, so the accusations aren't fair.

Now thats a fair response and I thank you for that.

For the record My first posts after Kirks death were statements that there was much about his mode of operation I dont agree with. But I have consciously tried to take a middle and rational ground and not take sides in this. I do however think some of the quotes and criticisms of his quotes seem out of context and unfair from what I have seen of his interactions.

In the end his death is more divisive than anything he said, and thats a problem for US politics and peoples.
