Newsom deserves impeachment, but I doubt as it is a political issue and the majority party is his, that it will happen.

I bet if a recall election would happen he would get recalled.

At best he could be found in contempt for refusing to work with federal LE, but again, probably won’t happen.

OPk, im first to admit that as an outsider, I dont know all the ins and outs, so I could be wrong. But it looks like brinkmanship from all partiers here.

From here, too. I doubt they are getting many criminals at Home Depot, just picking the easy low-hanging fruit. Gets the quota in the bag, and the boss won't know the difference. He just needs a sort-of-believable number for the photo op. If they get to 11,780 he'll be ok with it.

I could care less about Newsom, he's been a nuisance all along. He and his attorney general.

1) The Administration asserted privilege that the DOJ long recognized in not acting on Congressional referral.

And

2) Holder was subpoenaed to Congressional hearing. Congress has issued no subpoena to Gov. Newsome.

Thus, there is no venue to hold in contempt at this time. Either contempt of Congress or some judicial action.

When there is, let us know.

Honestly, I'm far more than disgusted by Trump's move against PBS and NPR. And the Rightist's approval of it. It's a longstanding Heritage Foundation thing.

Hope is not a strategy, which is why I contribute with money. But I hope this backfires on Trump(ism) bigly.

And Trump, with his lawyers, are still trying to get the 34 convictions transferred to the Fed courts so he can lawfare them and have them nullified.

As I understand it, their argument centers on the SCOTUS decision of POTUS immunity for criminal acts while in office. And the case was not Fed, but state instead.

Of course, he wasn't in office when his acts leading to conviction occurred.

As we know he beat the rap on all those federal multiple felony indictments, certain to lead to convictions, by getting elected.

The gummut teat has mastitis, anyway. NPR and PBS would be best off out of reach from the feds in any case, selling content on the free-market. They find content worth the cost, and the liberal slant to their news reporting is tolerable as a counterweight to Fox.

About half of my friends are Trump voters, not sure how they think about the matter.
I hope never to lose a friend over politics. I've seen that happen and don't like it.
