They got this one right. President Trump played chess while everyone else the world over played checkers. I would have to agree with you on this one. He should be the person of the year not because he is a great person but because he conned over half of America that he is a good person and deserves to be POTUS. That takes real talent and I honestly cannot think of any other person who could have pulled that off.

2026 will straighten it out for you, just like 2018, 2020, & 2022. One election cycle that the GOP won by about 1% and not even 50% of the vote does make them kings.

Did you take your copium today, sweety? Isnt it time for your nap? If that's what you need to stop the crying, you hold on to that, honey... oh, Clinton also never "won" the majority vote, either... it's shocking how many seemingly (un)intelligent persons think that there is actually such a thing as "national popular vote" but so many persons are ignorant of the actual constitution and process. State votes inform electors, there is no such thing as a national popular vote, there is only the collection of state votes... quemala won 19, which is 6 less than each of biden and trump in 2020 Try to take a nap? Biden’s disastrous admin seems particularly germane. The man is nowhere to be found, awol from running the Republic. The whole country is completely aware he’s senile. Half the country knew before he was elected. The other half wouldn’t admit it.

There is no such thing as an offical national popular vote, as i explained above ... But, hey, ill send you a McDonald's gift card for $100 if you can find in the constitution (look it article in and the amendments) where the voting process is describe as a national popular vote for the president.. but, hey, since she lost the actual election process, let's give her recognition for her efforts.. second place Happy, honey? opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? You think that was close? House Senate POTUS 31 states voting right (as opposed to 25 each in 2020) 48 states and thousands of counties moving right? That is interesting because I see it the exact opposite. As you say time will tell. Trump won and he has a chance to do great or to do terrible we will have to wait and see. You know M that if he screws up and makes a mess then I will be waiting to tell you "I told you so", and on the flip side if he does great, I fully expect the same statement from you!

I remain intrigued at the Hitler comparisons. How is it, Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Ackman, Elon Musk, Jamie Diamond, Jeff Bezo's and Marc Andreessen all are in support and all are excited about an American renaissance. I have to assume that you and others in here obviously know something the rest of us don't? Please enlighten me? What is it that I'm missing? BTW, wasn't Obama, Times person of the year as well? I think the Hitler Comparision is a valid one if you look at the circumstances surrounding the time. Germany in the 1920's after WW1 was rebuilding and doing ok but had economic issues and a series of poor leaders. The rank-and-file people were not satisfied on the direction the country was going. Wages were stagnated, inflation was high, housing was short etc. along comes a charismatic person who promises to take care of them, take care of inflation, better housing, better wages etc. and the people who needed something to believe in swallowed the rhetoric hook line and sinker and believed everything their leader said. The leader was so convincing that even wealthy powerful people followed him and those who didn't were eliminated sometimes brutally. Once in power he consolidated his power until he was all powerful and no one dared go against him. that all power eventually corrupted him. the old saying "Power absolutely corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely" was true and that lead into millions of people dying. The similarities of what happened in Germany in the 1920' and 30's cannot be ignored to what is happening now here. They are remarkably similar. I am not saying Trump is Hitler because he is not but the rhetoric and path to power is almost the same. We do not know what is going to happen in the next few years, Trump could do great things, and I sure hope he does, or he could go down a dark hole and we will all be the worse off for it.

Billionaires make money no matter who is in charge as long as they don't become targets. Compare Musk's net worth 10 years ago to today, or Bezos or Zuckerberg. Has your net worth increased ten-fold in the last decade? Make yourself a note of all the current economic benchmarks as they stand now so you can compare it in a year then the year after. Interesting that after all his blather about grocery prices Trump is now admitting lowering those prices will be very hard and he can't guarantee his tariffs won't raise prices, something he steadfastly denied during the campaign, but the suckers bought his bullshit. You can hear Trump right here say he does not believe his tariffs don’t raise cost. Then go one to say, “I canny guarantee anything.” I said it would raise consumption prices. I DK mot an economist. It will. Trump knows it will. The economy is in for a kick in the teeth. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HDlcBKr3jbg Here is a nice easy summary about why Trump is wrong on Tariffs: Trump has also touted tariffs as a way to generate new federal revenue that can offset his proposed tax cuts. During his first administration, his tariffs — more limited than his current proposals — generated $80 billion in revenue, according to the Tax Foundation. If Trump institutes a 10% tariff on all imports, as he proposed during his campaign, the federal government would reap $2 trillion from 2025 through 2034, estimates the nonpartisan Tax Foundation, a think tank focused on tax issues. According to Goldman Sachs, a 25% tariff on Canada and Mexico, along with a 10% tax on Chinese imports, would generate just under $300 billion in tariff revenue per year. Overall, 43% of U.S. imports come from Mexico (15.4%), Canada (13.6%),and China (13.9%). However, that revenue would largely be paid by U.S. consumers and businesses, experts say. That's because tariffs are not paid by the countries that export to the U.S., as Trump maintains, but rather by U.S. importers. In other words, companies like Walmart would be faced with the decision of whether to swallow the higher costs of imports, or passing those on to consumers, Vicky Redwood, senior economic adviser for Capital Economics, wrote in a research note. "If the costs are passed on, then customers face a choice: continue buying the (now more expensive) import or switch to buying a domestic alternative (which will cost more than the import pre-tariff)," she noted. Trump's tariffs could cost the typical U.S. family an additional $2,600 a year due to importers and manufacturers passing the cost of tariffs to consumers, according to an August analysis from the Peterson Institute for International Economics, a nonpartisan think tank focused on economic issues. https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/ne...-china-truth-social/

Strange -- if tariffs are so terrible, and raise prices, why didn't dems remove all of the about 4 year ago, rather than keeping effectively all of them from the prior admin? and, dude, i am paying WAY more than $2,600 more in 2024 than i was in 2020 -- with vastly lower income, same job, same investments - weird. it's almost like it's just not true opinions vary band of bubbas and STC hunting Club Information on Ammoguide about the416AR, 458AR, 470AR, 500AR What is an AR round? Trump played (conned) you but that was easy. You're part of the conn, not the conned. Conning half the nation was a real accomplishment. That's something to be remembered and perhaps studied, not necessarily specific to or limited to Trump's methods, but how it worked on a population of seemingly otherwise reasonable people of good intent. Who could have predicted that regular Americans would be so vulnerable and wrong? That's worth studying, but the answers may be too ugly and meaningless. For example - the answers of why they are wrong are meaningless now insofar as changing minds. Why? So, questions and answers lead to more questions, such as why. The answer to why is resistance and shunning evidence contrary to Belief in Fiction. It's obviously a winning formula for Trump, and also obviously projected to double-down, affirmations aplenty. One key way of sustaining the Belief in Fiction is changing and controlling the narrative. The push to do that with the 1/6 insurrection attempt and the pardons is all about that. It's the hallmark of a fascist regime and it's working. So, don't expect Trump to be vindicated by pivoting from ill-intent illiberalism to a good guy doing good. Instead, he will spin the narratives and facts, and his supporters will go along. His lies will be vindicated with more lies, and they will continue to believe in his spinning Belief in Fiction. Meanwhile there's fortunes to be made by the oligarchs and Fox News. ************* Degenerate 1:1 1 Then Trump said, "Let Us re-make a Nation in MY Image, after My likeness, to rule over everything in the Nation, and over all the earth itself and every creature that crawls upon it". Person of the year, as I understand it is more about newsworthy note than an accolade. Yes, Trump and his comeback is pretty unprecedented in American politics. He deserves to be person of the year for that. Whether it’s for good or bad is yet to come. It’s certainly more reasonable than Barack Obama’s Nobel prize. And yes, Hitler won it when it was still man of the year for being notorious and in the news. Turns out they were right in that Hitler changed world history and most everyone alive has heard of him.
