In what may be the most dastardly attack on the long-term prospects of an opposition Party in American history President Biden has taken steps that, if enacted, would guarantee the Republican Party would dwindle to nothing within a generation.

Nearly 1/2 of Flint votes republican, so stronghold is hardly an appropriate description.
And who caused the problem? Snyder is a republican, I'm pretty sure he didn't have any democrats running things.

"Flint’s water became tainted with lead after city managers appointed by Snyder began using the Flint River in 2014 to save money while a new pipeline to Lake Huron was built. The water wasn’t treated to reduce its corrosive qualities, causing lead to break off from old pipes and contaminate the system for more than a year."
