President Trump is now using Executive Orders to mandate to our elected Congress what laws to write. Mandating Congress change a law that that requires Medicare to negotiate prescription drug prices. How one feels about the law is irrelevant. The Executive cannot mandate the people’s elected representatives who are given the mandate of legislative prerogative laws to change thiss laws. Hopefully, Congress ignores this constitutional violation. More tyrannical, unconstitutional power this Executive seeks to gorge upon. The fake conservatives will no doubt support this latest attack upon the Constitution and the People. The Executive has no role mandating through an WO to Congress to pass law at the behest of anyone; let alone an industry. The small, weak fools who support this would not support a Dem president through an WO mandating the NFA be re-written easing the tax to $20,000.00 dollars. That is what makes them morally and intellectually bankrupt. Of course, when a pretentious the 5th Amendment to the Constitution and void judicial review, why not take legislative prerogative from Congress as dictated by the Constitution. Presidents Obama and Biden refused to given in this manner. Trump has destroyed the Constitution. Again, when the Chief Executive can engage in a corrupt attempt not to transition power in violation of the Constitution, why not?

A President cannot order Congress to pass or modify legislation. This was debated. The President has no formal role in legislation beyond the veto, address and report, and convene convene or adjourn the Houses of Congress in certain circumstances. The whole point was to separate power preventing legislative prerogative from the Executive. Notwithstanding, the President’s role in treaties that when approved by the Senate become the supreme law of the land. What the President can do is limited to the r II and its interpretative case law. It is anthesis of the Common to suggest a president can order Congress to pass or modify a law. Ever wonder why you never see the President go to Congress and present a bill? A president has no authority to do so.
