OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma's top education official is seeking to purchase 55,000 Bibles for public schools and specifying that each copy contain the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution, which are not commonly found in Bibles but are included in one endorsed by former President Donald Trump.

The request is part of Republican State Superintendent Ryan Walters' ongoing efforts to require Bibles in every classroom, which has been met with resistance by some of Oklahoma's largest school districts.

Walters is seeking to spend $3 million in state funds for Bibles that fit a certain criteria, including that the pages are supplemented with U.S. historical materials.

I agree. We have honest dems, like MM, who disliked trump all the way, based on policy and isn't bashful about it.. then others that hated trump also from the jump, but try to throw mud at him and cannot tolerate correction.

I expect those folks aren't used to people in their lives standing up to them, or are just out right shriveled soul bullies.

I keep asking for a positive thing quemala has done or lead... other than being the birder czar for the largest influx of illegals.. I get met with "she's not trump" neither is biden or even Cruz.

I have to assume that Trump's proposed tariffs on China will have an exemption in the fine print for any Bibles that include the Declaration and the Constitution but not all the troublesome Amendments in the middle, like the 11th to the 17th weren't ratified.

I guess none of the 25,000 American printers could meet the exacting standards Trump requires.

Also worth noting that an autographed Trump Bible runs $1,000.
