I'd like to play a game of chess with Trump, just to see. In person, across a card table.
For $20, a loaf of bread, a gallon of milk, and 10 gallons of diesel fuel.
I'll bring the Diet Coke...

SaeedI can just imagine.
Tom: Hey Don, we are going to play a game of chess.
Trump: what is chess?
It is a board game. Look here it is and here are the pieces.
Ah ok. I will gave the big ones. You have the small ones!

Better keep a good watch on the board ... or one of his "helpers" will be shifting the pieces about when you aren't looking, prior to announcing that he won every game.

Yeah. Kinda like cheating at golf....trump's constantly bragging about what a great golfer he is and how he wins all of his club championships. Here's why....he's a cheating POS. This kind of behavior would get your ass kicked with the people I play golf with....

BobsterThe last time Russia was at war with Ukraine, They were bankrupt and forced to sell Alaska to the USA to raise money. One wonders if that is the reason Trump chose the meeting place. Rubs old Putin's nose in it. No bailout this time! There is a bounty on Putin's head by the Haig. Maybe some native North American will put Putin under arrest to collect that $1 million dollar bounty. At the point of a Mosin Nagant perhaps. It's gonna be great one day when we absorb Canada into the US and they realize how bad they have been dry farked by the liberals.

LHeym500The U.S. bought Russia in 1867.
The Crimea War, which was really a Great Powers War, was 1853-1856.
Ukraine was pivotal to the final collapse of the USSR.
There is no 1 million dollar bounty on Putin’s head by any international body. I’m not sure where that came from.

You really have a hard time reading. The poster said a war in Crimea caused Russia to need to sell Alaska. This is not true. Alaska was bought in 1867. Any war in Crimea that might have caused Russia to become bankrupt would have happened in 1856-57. That being the Crimea War. That was a Great Powers War that did not cause Russia to sell Alaska.
You really need to stop telling people reading us hard. You have gone full idiot. It is clear I am responding to the statement a war in Crimea causes Russia to sell Alaska in 1867.
There was not discussion of 2014. Booster does not even thing 2014 invasion caused Russia’s to be bankrupt leading to selling Alaska. However, here is a member of the Texas Contingent that has a hard time reading arguing 29-4 is related to the Alaska purchase.
Once again, slowly, we are taking about a war that Bob implied caused Russia to sell Alaska bc Russia went bankrupt from that war. That is incorrect. The only War in Ukraine with Russia before Alaska was purchased, in timeframe Bob implied, was Crimea War. That war did not cause Russia to sell Alaska.

blah blah blah
Goodness, honey, you fully display your "knowledge" in every post - -
YOU said "the us bought
RUSSIA in 1867 --- sigh, then you he the nerve to carry on, as if nothing happened ... you know process and words are important, right?
if the subject is what caused the sale of alaska? for children, the story is easy, the economic burdens on the country, which usually takes awhile to pay off AND that trappers had killed off the majority of the seals, which was the "cash crop" of alaska
it's sooo precious how you then ignore the STRONG correction of why the wall fell and who did, or did not play a part
but carry on, sweetpea, with your insulting ways... you might consider getting some help to get that chip reduced or removed

Mike MitchellWell, I wish trump the best and I hope he can get something done with Putin that stops the war. I figure there's about a 5% chance of that happening.
I see trump warned Putin of "severe consequences" if they can't get a deal done. Can you imagine how hard the Russians must chuckle when they hear baloney like that? trump is nothing but a shit-talking con-man. It's all he's ever been.
15 August 2025, 18:44
MJinesFirst, foremost and always remember that Trump is a bully. There are two people he can potentially bully here, Putin and Zelensky. There is no way Trump can bully Putin. He admires Putin. Putin undoubtedly has dirt on Trump. Putin is smarter than Trump. So in the end, Trump will fall back to bullying Zelensky. It's not that hard to predict.

I agree with you. As I understand it, Putin refused to attend any meeting that included Zelensky.
In my opinion, this is more of trump just flooding the zone with bullshit in order to divert attention from the Epstein tarbaby.

nuteI hope and pray something productive comes out of this, and that it’s not just a carve up of Ukraine’s territory which Trump will force them to agree to under threat of withholding weapons or intel.
At the end of the day Trump holds some of the cards. If he threatened to arm Ukraine with everything they want it will make continuing the war very painful for Vlad.

I can't imagine any outcome acceptable to Putin that doesn't include Ukraine ceding some territory to Russia and I just don't think that is ever something that is going to be agreeable to Ukraine. At least not until they are beaten on the battlefield.

Many of those who support Trump are also Putin supporters. That's because the last thing they heard from their great leader was pro-Putin. Now, they will be either pro- or anti-Putin depending on what Trump says after this meeting.
His followers have amply demonstrated that they are unable to think for themselves. Some call this outlook "riding for the brand."
