Takeaway from your first article: The Iranians tried to give stolen Trump campaign info to the Biden campaign, which has turned the info over to the FBI. I didn't read the second article because I assume it's the same story.

Did the Harris campaign try to conceal and benefit from the stolen info? The answer seems to be no.

I am saying that there IS precedent for this actually happening ..

Obama spied on him
DNC funded the steele dossier
Killary had a 'consultant" setup a ping in the data center to russia...

Yeah, pretty clear history and trend..

If you say so.

Throw up some support for the assertion that Obama spied on trump.

Personally I would like to see a kinetic response any time any Country, be it Russia or Israel or Iran or Norway, attempts to directly meddle in U.S. elections, no matter who they support or oppose.

Something in a Tomahawk flavor.

I can't say Iran's preference has much to do with my view of the election. It doesn't keep me awake at night or influence my opinion of the candidates.

It's hard to guess at the thinking of people who, except for their weapons, live in the Middle Ages. I'll answer your question though.

Iran probably prefers Harris because she is a known quantity. Whereas Trump is a wild card. They probably have a harder time predicting what he'll do.

Unlike your little insignificant sand pile our continued existence does not depend on any Country's good will.

If we grow tired of ya'll it will take longer to rescue the Royals who flee into the desert without food or water than to destroy the reinforced Boy Scout troop you call an Army.

Us Intelligence says Iran wants Harris. Interesting article on why...

https://www.iranintl.com/en/202407286378

>>>>Trump’s last tenure was highly 'eventful' for Iranians. The former president withdrew the US from the 2015 nuclear deal, ordered the killing of Qasem Soleimani—arguably Iran’s second most powerful figure after the Supreme Leader — and imposed extensive oil sanctions that put unprecedented pressure on Iran’s economy.

It’s little surprise, then, that many seem to dread Trump’s potential second term. The annual inflation rate is already ‘back-breaking’, as we say in Persian, hovering above 40% for three years. Corruption is rampant. Another round of Trump’s “Maximum Pressure” would push millions off the cliff – or drag the country into war. And still, many say they’d like Trump to win. It is impossible to say how many, but it’s a sizable chunk of the population.

“Trump may be bad for us, but he’s worse for the regime,” says Farhad, an IT technician looking for a job. He was “kicked out” of work after he was arrested during the 2022 protests. “Trump is no Biden,” he says, “and his Iran advisers are not [former Iranian FM] Zarif chums. The pressure he’d exert could hasten the collapse of the regime.” What about ordinary Iranians, I ask, what if there’s a war, what would happen to their lives? “You call this a life?” he snaps back.<<<

Regarding Russia, Putin clearly favors trump....he thinks that trump is an admirer (because he is) and that he will be more easily manipulated.

As for my preferences [in the U.S. election], it is not up to us to decide. After all, the American people will have to make their own choice. As I have already said, we favoured Mr Biden, the current President, but they took him out of the race. That said, he advised his supporters to support Ms Harris. So, we will act accordingly and lend her our support.

Although the Russian president did say on Sept. 5, 2024, that he endorsed the Democratic candidate for president, few people believed his comments were serious. Many news outlets and political pundits concluded that he was joking.

And the rest of the statement...

As for my preferences [in the U.S. election], it is not up to us to decide. After all, the American people will have to make their own choice. As I have already said, we favoured Mr Biden, the current President, but they took him out of the race. That said, he advised his supporters to support Ms Harris. So, we will act accordingly and lend her our support.

trump is, and always has been, a major Putin ass-kisser. Everyone knows this....including Putin.

You're not wrong Saeed.

Am I?

That's the question.

Who wants who, and why.

Given the democrats behavior with regards to the whole Gaza thing, and the GOP frontrunner’s rhetoric, why wouldn’t Iran prefer Harris?

Sounds like Omar and Talib could speak at a Hezbollah rally and not get booed.

Most of the democrat leadership just want the issue to disappear. They get flak from some of their constituents regardless of what position they hold.

I've still not seen anyone on the left answer...Who does Iran want to win,and why?

And Putin wants Trump! rotflmo

Like the time Obama was ACTUALLY spying on his campaign?

So, you think Harris is spying on trump's campaign? coffee

Why? She gets everything she needs when he gives a press conference and says a bunch of goofy shit.

Good Morning Mike!!

I doubt it. I think she'd listen to advice, but doubt that she's would be anyone's patsy. She's feral.
