Josh Hawley....what a turd. Wasn't he the one waving hello at the insurrectionists right before the riot started? And, was then photographed fleeing for his life from the Senate chambers?

POS.

They were too close to steel or using the wrong projectiles.

The headline is a little misleading as no one was shot.

Or using a poor choice of backstop/range.

I’ve been hit by pieces of bullet jacket many times. If the steel targets are not smooth, it can happen. If someone shoots poorly and hits a rock on the ground, it can happen.

Thus why you should always use eye protection when shooting.

So a democrat was shooting at an event and some reporter got hit by some jacket material… not sure why this is even worth mention.

I do find the self serving commentary that the politician “provided first aid to the reporter” as being typical politician BS.

Same. I was shooting at my normal indoor range a few months ago and a 9mm round from the SIG 226 I was shooting bounced back and hit me in the shin. No damage but it damn sure reinforces the idea that shooting glasses are a must.

I'll never forget one time many many years ago, I was stupidly shooting at a pile of bricks with a Colt Ace .22 LR and a round came straight back at me and buzzed by my left ear. Close by my left ear.

10m steel with an ar? Geez, that sounds the perfect recipe for splashback and outlawed in most ranges. Even hogkiller wouldnt let us shoot steel at close range

You know walz the warrior wasn't their... the rifle actually got loaded

I wonder if trump has ever fired a weapon? I know he had a carry permit in NYC but does that require that you actually fire a weapon to qualify?

We certainly all know that he never picked up a weapon while in the service of his country.

Straight ticket did make things move along faster! Although, I have voted for a fair number of republicans. Mostly judges.

I've gone to the polls to early vote three times now and each time I have gone, there is a line down the block that I don't want to stand in. I'm going to try again at 8 am tomorrow.

I think this election is going to result in record turn-out.

It will be interesting to see what the polling places look like on Nov. 5.

Saeed should come visit the US on election day. Give him a much needed civics lesson. Big Grin

little Naki should come, if his tourist visa is still valid, and point out all the oligarchs to us, which are hidden in plain sight, according to him, as we are all one-eyed foolish children

A handgun bullet can bounce off of a bowling pin if it's squarely hit.

I've never had it happen to me.

Why would you ever want to shoot a concrete wall or steel plate at close range? That's just asking for it.

President Biden’s son took it in the chin.

Yes. After trying to weasel out of it, and not getting it done.

Wait and see if Biden commutes or pardons him.

President’s discretion.

Trump did not try to get out of it.

Actually, given he kept not demanding jury trials, he did not fight very well.

Obviously there were safety issues - too close to the steel targets, not wearing eye protection, tannerite sitting on the shooting bench…

What is most ironic is that they were shooting those weapons of war - deadly assault rifles - which they collectively want to ban.
Strange, that…

There is now a Buccees near me. I stopped in there once several months after it opened as it always looks crowded. It was still crowded. Massive place. Good BBQ sandwiches but on the $$$$ side. Carnival atmosphere and lots of happy people there.

Yes, very good. I bought two Brisket based sandwiches for a long road trip. First one was brisket and smoked sausage, second was a three meat, which contained smoked turkey as the third meat. They were both very good. Also had some of their in-house made potato chips, I think they were kettle style. Pretty good as well.
